- There was no examination, only hand-ins» (I don"t know/have not been examined yet)
- We were unable to get grades after a part had been completed or a submitted job. This made it very difficult to know if you are doing good or bad.» (I don"t know/have not been examined yet)
- Perhaps it would be good to get the grade after each finnished task (RC etc). Then you can plan futhure in the course...» (I don"t know/have not been examined yet)
- It seems good though » (I don"t know/have not been examined yet)

Course specific questions

6. What did you think about the Reading Circles, format, structure, and content?*

- They worked good. We were one of the first one to finish reading the book and present it. If we would have continued longer, it would have affektet our project.»
- I do not see any point of having reading circles. Reading the book took a lot of time from the project work, so did reading circles and the presentations of the other groups. »
- Too much focus on these, the general feeling was that the project was not the most important thing»
- I think it is good to force the students to read a book to relate the project to. However I feel that the reading circels took a lot of time from the actual project.»
- I think they were good, they forced me to read a book, which I probably wouldn"t have read otherwise. It was interesting so sit in a smaller group discussing the content.»
- Good format, enjoyed reading one book while still getting some insight into multiple books.»
- I did not enjoy them. Used up a lot of valuable time. Nothing was really used in the project anyway.»
- The reading circles didn"t feel that relevant to our project, and felt more like a distraction. However, so did the other courses in the period.»
- The book that we got was to advance as a interaction design student. »
- It was ok.»
- It would be better if the book was connected to the developed device. Didn"t gave our group anything imortnat»
- Useful but time consuming»
- The books were not very inspiring and it took to much effort from the main project in the beginning. »
- I don"t think the reading circles really helpful for the project.»
- the reading circle is not useful, hardly to see something useful for our project»

7. What did you think about the workshops, content, scope, suggestions for improvement?*

- They were good.»
- The workshops in the beginning in the course were pretty good, though i do not see why they should be compulsory. »
- Quite fun»
- I think the workshops took time away from the real project. I did learn one good thing though, to allow wild or crazy ideas during the brainstorming.»
- The workshops gave some information on how to use some methods which were good.»
- No comment»
- Some workshops were ok, but it was still annoying to spend time on things that did not really contribute to the project.»
- Same as above, didn"t feel that relevant to what we were doing, I would have preferred more supervision meetings instead where we could get directions.»
- Some of them are really good »
- The workshops at the beginning were kind of irrelevant to the rest of the course, it could have been better and consistent if there had been more throughout the semester»
- Good, but they could be shorter»
- their topics were already covered in previous courses. however, it was good to refresh the knowledge»
- Really good and inspiring. »
- it was great doing the workshops. it helped enlarge our thoughts and ideas.»
- great»

8. What is your impression of the exhibition, organization, scope, value for the course?

- Too few people on the exhibition, should have other times set, like 14-20 instead of 10-16. The course itself was really good.»
- The exhibition lasted for too long. I think 2 days of exhibition are enough. »
- It was really fun, but Johan Sandsjö needs to get his head out of the clouds more often and plan, follow up and execute things better»
- I like that the exhibition makes us think about how to best present our projects. I would have liked it even better if there would have been more people from the industry there.»
- The course was overall good, the only thing that was a bit bad was the time the exhibition was run, it was kinda few people that attended the exhibition»
- The exhibition was fun. Too long maybe. Very few visitors. There were no visitors the first two days. I"m not surprised since people are working at times when the exhibition was open.»
- The exhabition was nice. It didn"t feel like too many people came though.»
- Exhibition was quite nice, we had a chance to get enormous feedback »
- it was good but the place wasn"t the best choice»
- Exhibition was good, but it would be even better if there had been more advertisements for business to come and see. The posters were kind of useless since they got posted over or ripped down in one day. It would have been good to get media coverage, by inviting GP, Computer Sweden, Ny Teknik and other technical and local magazines to come and see. I like the branding idéa and having the same name from year to year, collecting links to them from the program web site. This way the exhibit and its website would be a great asset to the program (and the course).»
- it could be arranged in a better place with more people to come, but it was good to show people what students can do.»
- it`s OK»

- Again, what material? Once you realized that you needed to focus on the project more since the teachers and other stuff only tried to distract you, you just learned and remembered what you needed for your project, which was not much.» (Small extent)

- Updates were scarce and horribly non-detailed on the course page. The emails were ambiguous and contradicting and the schedule was almost never updated.» (Very badly)
- The information for the course was not handled well. Sometimes the info was just avalible in an email and not on the web page. The information on the webpage was scattered and difficult to find. The web page was not updated frequently enough. There was a lack of information, for example on what was expected of presentations, both for project and reading circles.» (Rather badly)
- Timeedit and/or Google Calendar is much more appreciated than a web page with text. Most other courses does this, I cant see why it would be a problem. » (Rather badly)
- Be more clear with time and schedule changes» (Rather well)

- Informal structure was much appreciated.» (Very good)

- Since we could pick the teams ourselves it was easy to know which people are difficult to work with and avoid such problems.» (Rather well)
- That worked very well. Every body in class helped each other as much as they can» (Very well)

Summarizing questions

14. What is your general impression of the course?

14 svarande

Poor»0 0%
Fair»1 7%
Adequate»3 21%
Good»8 57%
Excellent»2 14%

Genomsnitt: 3.78

- The exhibition and all the other stuff the students had the main responsibility of was good, otherwise the organization was almost non-existent. Mandatory lectures and similar should have an attendance list, and ALL information should be posted on the course page» (Fair)
- I like that we could choose project by ourselves, that way we could test out an idea and go through with it from design to implementation. It is something that we rarely get to do, except for the "kandidatsarbete". However, during the "kandidatsarbete" we didn"t get to choose precisely what to do easily. » (Good)

15. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- The exhibition»
- The projects in groups are very good for learning. It is good to put everything that has been learned in other courses to use in one larger project. The exhibition is a good way to end these projects.»
- The reading circles»
- Having an exhibition»
- Free project choice»
- Exhibition, Non strict project schedule»
- Exhibition!»
- workshop»

16. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Do some adjustments to the exhibition.»
- If Johan Sandsjö doesn"t get his act together (stop dodging questions, answering your phone and speaking for several minutes on several occasions during mandatory grade-affecting presentations) he should be replaced by someone with a little more knowledge, respect and someone who knows how to plan and stick to the plan.»
- More information to students. No workshops at beginning of course. Not that many mandatory course objects that takes time away from the project work.»
- The reading circles»
- Remove or change: Reading circles and eventually workshops»
- no more reading circle »
- The groups should definitely be mixed and predefined by instructors. Swedish students formed only groups with other Swedish students. I totally understand that it is easier to speak in your native language, but it created a kind of an implicit environment like Swedish students and the others. It could be better to have mixed groups since you mostly don"t have a chance to select who is going to be on your project team in the real business life.»
- I believe that there would be good with a theme, less lectures as RC, workshops etc. More time to devlope!!!»
- reading circle»

17. Additional comments

- Despite all my critique, I don"r really dislike Johan, only his care-free ways and total lack of responsibility. Make him a course assistant instead!»
