- To be honest, writing three of those extensions for a four was a bit too high.» (Yes, the goals seem reasonable)

- for gu students, it"s a very big difference between G (= no extensions, pretty easy) and VG = (5 extension, very much more to do)» (To some extent)

- I wish there was a functional programming language compiler track for those who want to do that instead. I feel that it is much more likely i will ever work on a functional compiler in industry/ academia than an imperative/oop one! The teaching can still be done as it is (on imperative/ oop languages), just provide a new set of slides for functional languages and have an additional project description!»

- Some more precise "rules" for some of the extensions, they are a bit vague in some places. I also think that implementing some sort of optimization should be a possible extension (Would also probably make more people come to those last lectures. To get a grade 3/G could probably be a little bit harder, very easy right now.»

15. Additional comments

- the testsuite could be designed a bit better I think, as it is now the core tests are pretty complicated and you need to have large parts of the compiler done before you can start using it. It would be better if it was a bit more flexible so that you could start using it from just having the skeleton ready so to say.»
- A great course. Very nice to have a project during the whole course, which was challenging but still understandable. »

- Very good to go with a project based approach, you learn much more from this instead of the usual with just doing some studying and then having an exam. FUN course!»
