What should definitely be preserved to next year?- Anders Warell and the weekly assignments.»- different types of assignments» - ppe» - The reflective report. It was greate to have the opportutity to choose subject. But it is helpful to have some suggestions of topic to get inspired and to understand what a topic could be like.» - The variety in the different topics and theory used» - The content and pecha kucha.» - no idea» - different assignments we"ve done and the way we had worked on them» - The last two lectures about Bars and Grids etc., since they actually had some content.» - Reflective report and small assignments. Let people form their own groups and keep them for the entire course. Last year (2009) people had a hard time planning when to do the sufficient project work and so on.» 15. What should definitely be changed to next year?- The course administration and late information/feedback of the reflective report. »- more pratical assignments than theoretical tasks?» - The last two asignments could be individual, everyone hounts for shapes, then we sort them into the categories and present all the photos from the whole class at the same time in one presentation. » - The presentations. There is nothing good in having 10 presentations of the exact same assignment that you have just done yourself. Have 3-4 groups at the time and let the others work with something else.» - Handins on the course webpage. Update course PM. More pecha kucha, I think it would make it easier to keep the time frames. Some of the group assignments could be changed to individual reading assignment instead, I think it could increase the learning. Basically dedicate a bit more time for literature study, the group work is interesting, but very time consuming.» - nothing» - Everything.» - Don"t hand out two assignments that are to be presented on the same week as the Reflective report is to be handed in. One would"ve been sufficient, put two on another week if needed. Why not upload the assignments before the lecture, so that everyone can start right away after each lecture?» - Change the admission requirements» 16. Additional comments- Anders Warell was a good lecture. Inspiring and engaged. »- good course» - the professor, his lectures, comments on projects and his leading was excellent and helpfull» - If you take a course on advanced level at Chalmers, is it too much to ask for to actually get some content from the lectures and some assignments that make you learn something? I don"t think so.» - I"m not sure if either Warell or Rahe did read any of the reflective reports over the weekend. So the hand in could"ve been set for Monday 07.00 instead, especially when there were two other assignments during the same week.» - There were several in the class with different backgrounds and some of them have no previous knowledge of design, which was strange because this was an advanced course in design. And one had to teach them the basics of the subject, this also led to that one did not get out as much of the course, which would otherwise have received.»
