- The amount of work was particularly high the second and the last week of the quarter (second week: projects 1-2-3 and last week: projects 4-5-6 with the HPSE project to submit as well). The timing was pretty bad for the MPSES-students, many projects had to be finished at the same time and too few days between the end of the projects and the examinations...» (About 25 hours)

- The Industrial Energy Systems course was, in my opinion, pretty necessary to read this course but there was some overlapping (heat pumps for example).» (Yes, absolutely)
- I am not following the master, I am an exchange student so I had a lack of knowledge because I am not so specialliced in energy systems.» (In part, but I struggled in places)

- I think that this course focusses a lot in the projects and they have no global weight in the final mark. I spent alomost the whole course struggling against the projects and reached the exam without time to learn by heart the goals for the examination» (To some extent)
- Well, the thing is that the examination assesses that about 5/6 chapters of 10 were understood since there are just 5 problems (with 2 theory related questions). Moreover, no real exercise sessions were done (I mean by that hand-calculations like we do in the examination) and it was sometimes quite hard to repeat (iterations for example) what we only did with Matlab.» (To some extent)

- The compendium is not written very well and cannot be understand well, it"s better to be revised. But the lectures and slides were very understandable. also the heat exchangers literature is very good.» (some extent)
- The course literature is not that adequate atleast for a person not from the Chemical engineering background.» (some extent)

- The compendium "Design of industrial energy systems" holds a very low quality. Even though it"s cheap, unreadable plots (turbo comp chapter), spelling and printing errors and hard-to-understand texts doesn"t leave a very good impression. » (large extent)
- The compendium contents all the formulas which are needed, however it could be much better to give the meanings of the terms of the chapters 2-3 (furnace/boiling), it would be also good to correct the formula mistakes in the turbo-compressor chapter.» (great extent)

- The projects were great but some kind of rearrangement would be good. Now there were many project in the end at the same time as some of the first ones were revised. It some of them had been corrected faster id had been better, especially the first one.» (Excellent)
- The themes of the projects are really good and closed-related to the compendium content. However they take a lot of time (first submission of report+sometimes corrections) and using Matlab everytime might not be really adapted since we do not have the right to use it during the examination...» (Excellent)

- Some of them were to big. Remove the hand calculation part from the first project, they were unneccessary. » (Good)

But the organisation was not optimal : some important informations were sometimes given late (after we already had spent time on trying to solve something that we weren"t supposed to be able to solve with the present datas for example... , problem with the non availagle Hysys program during the end of the project 4 (would have been better if we could have been in the K building during this whole project!)» (Moderate)

- PX06 is not relevant because we dont design the CHP. We are just looking on which turbine is good.So there is an improvement that you can do it for the next year.»
- Project 5 (choosing a compressor from graphs) could have been better. Now we just followed steps 1-12 without getting any better understanding of compressors.»

- Some industrial laboratories which look the same were done in the IES-course so it was kind of repeating the same staff. The supervisor (Roman) was however really nice and willing to answer to our questions.» (Good but could be improved)

- It was pretty work-intensive since the beginning... it was not realistic to say at the beginning of the course that the projects sessions should be enough to finish projects and reports, it actually only happened with the projects 3 and 5.» (High)

- I dont really see any interaction at all in the classes. But that is a problem in all the courses.» (Very poor)
- The comunication between me and my project partner wasn"t the best. It is hard completing 6 projects with that atmosphere, anyway, I have learnt more about threating with people :)» (Rather poor)

- just on P6 exercise you can focus the attentions of student on the design part.»
- Perhaps you could post some kind of solutions to the old exams. I know there are not always one correct answer but it still sucks to do a task without having any clue if you are doing it right.»
- For future students, i strongly recomend that some calculation examples are handed out, 20-40 wirh a DEASENT SOLUTION. so thet the students can trye to solve the problems, and then check if they made it right.»
- If projects are soooo time consuming, I would weight them in that way. I spent around 80% of the whole time dedicated to this course with projects. I think projects are a good help for understanding the course but I lost too many time struggling in the way that matlab prgram worked and lost the core of the project: understanding how a industrial equipment works.»
- More problems to solve before the exam or that the old exams had solutions. »
- Better copied graphs in the handouts. Change compressor-project to make it more "useful"»

- Project exercises need more organization and labs should be properly arranged. It will be better if we work in KD1 or KD2, work in mechanical building was not so good. »
- The chapter about the turbo compressor needs to be renovated. Too many incorrect formulas which causes confusion on such easy calculations.»
- The compendium i not very good, it works as a handbook but is not very "readable".»

- More calculation examples, with solutions, to do at your own. Also solutions to the old exams! For me it was hard to understand exam question 1 because of lack of exercises to do. »
- The projects could be a little bit smaller. It felt unecessary with 10 turbines in P6 for example.»
- More improved explanations and introduction on the first project (boiler design) will be good. The compendium text is poor and not really helpful.»
- The course material should be improved especially the boiler part. A more practical approach can be adopted towards the project»
