1. How have you prioritised the course relative to the other courses this period.*27 svarande
Genomsnitt: 2.25 2. Was it easy to follow the lectures? Do you feel that the lecturer presented new material in a good way?*- Sometimes yes, sometimes no.»- Too high speed on the lectures, but otherwise quite ok.» - Jag tycker att läraren var verkade lite oorganiserad. » - Yes and it was really good to have the lectures note during the lectures.» - Sometimes it was hard to know if the material that was presented existed in the lecture notes from handouts or not.» - It was quite easy to follow the lectures thanks to the repetition of the last lecture at the beginning of each new lecture, that helps to understand the new material given.» - yes» - yes, it is prepared logically.» - Very hard material but well presented» - The lecture should say more often what is in the lecture notes and what is not.» - Yes it was easy. I think the lecture notes were good.» - Yes, reasonably. A bit fast at times - more structure and "a-b-c"-step like approach would clarify some topics.» - It was a bit fast, I like to take notes instead of having finished ones printed out.» - yes» - Thorough and well explained if there were any questions raised.» - It was a bit difficult to follow lecture.It was fast for me.» - In general, I think the lectures were easy to follow. Sinisa has a good structure when presenting the material, which makes it easier to understand. One thing to bear in mind is that it would be very beneficial if advice for the tasks could be presented earlier. For example, for one of the tasks, Sinisa gave advise on how to prepare the presentation on the lecture 2 hours before the presentation. But 2 hours before the presentation, everbody have already prepared their presentation, so then the advise does not help. This was just an example, but similar situations have occured several times during the course. » - Yes !» - The lectures were well done.» - yes, lectures were well presented.» - No it wasn"t. Yes he do it in a good way, but rather to fast for me.» - Quite easy. Sometimes not clear where in the lecture notes the lecturer was. » - It was hard at times, if not always.» - The referring to the book is out of date.» - It was quite OK, not too tough or not too easy to follow. Yes, presentation was done in quite a good way. But, I feel, the explantions could have been more "in depth" from the basics, to make it even more better to follow. » - Yes» - Yes» 3. What could be improved with the lectures?- Concentrate on the really tough parts and do them thoroughly, leave the easier parts to the students.»- Mer organisation, dvs inte skriva omvartannat på tavlan utan alltid ha en rödtråd. » - Because of the imporatancy of the course, the number of sessions should be increased. » - It should be more clear what should be noted down during the lectures and what is already included in the lecture notes» - It"s hard to get an overview of the course from the lectures. I think a rigid approach would help with that.» - More basics could be covered.» - Can´,t think of anything.» - i think there was no such problem . they were well delivered and the most important part that i found helpful was that they were exactly following notes and also the revision in next class was very helpful. » - Perhaps, a little basic in fluid mechanics will help to improve the course.» - Nothing» - A more detailed explanation of fundamental concepts.» - A more structured way of writing on the board. What could be improved with the lecture notes?- några bilder var lite fel, men inga stora problem.»- Little more equations and text in the k-epsilon model section.» - Totally, it has been well prepared, but it is suggested that the number of topics to be increased.» - There are a lot of issues in both language and math/physics. » - Make the derivations longer and more throughout» - more steps» - Nothing really !» - since we had students from different programes i think there must be more time spent on the turbulence part. instead of making it part of extra reading . i think more portion should be included in lectures » - Perhaps, a little basic in fluid mechanics will help to improve the course.» - Nothing» - Again, detail.» - addition of practical examples. » 7. Did you get enough help with computer exercises from the exercise teachers?- I consulted the exercise teachers twice, Jelena both times, and she did not have a clue, the first time she gave us the wrong answer and we used two days to figure out what she meant, and then it was clear she was wrong. After that we chose to solve them ourselves instead.»- No, I don"t think that some of the exercise teachers were skilled enough for the tasks. Often when we had questions it turned out days afterwards that they had answered wronlgy.... Some of them seem think that the only Matlab code that possibly could be correct is their own...» - Ja» - Yes, from Mohammed.» - No, not during the computer exercises.» - Yes» - Yes, it is enough.» - yes» - Yes» - Yes - Jelena and Mohammad was very good. The French guy not so great.» - Yes, but mostly from Mohammad and fellow students.» - in some extent» - Yes, all three were very helpful. Great to see three people that really wants to make us understand. This is not always the case, so I"m grateful.» - Yes !» - yes I have» - they were indeed very helpful and i really appretiate efforts of Muhammad and Jellena they have been very helpful.especially Muhammad helped in better understanding of problem and approach towards the solution. » - Yes, I did» - Yes, Mohammad was extremely helpful. » - Yes.» - yes, there was good support from them.» 8. Genomsnitt: 3.96 (bidrar till totalt genomsnitt/jämförelseindex) - As with Matlab/programmering tasks, one little little fault in the code somewhere can take days to find!» (Good) 10. What could be improved with the tasks?- vet ej, tyckte de var bra »- The way they where presented. It was good to a presentation, but I think that the teacher should also do a presentation. In this way, the teacher can point out the important stuff etc that we maybe mist.» - That after we had done the presentation, we should get a confirmation if we had done the task in the right way.» - For each chapter of the lecture, there should be a task but some of them should be elective.» - One task should deal with the simple algorithm to solve for a velocity field» - There are many tasks, but I would prefer to have everything done sooner. Week 7 should be for the exam.» - Should have given deadlines for the reports of the tasks, and receive feedback of the reports a week afeter or so. Because it is better to know if one have passed before the exam, so one can change the report before the holidays.» - One thing that could be improved with the tasks is the general information about the tasks and the organisation around it. For example, in a lecture you presented a further point to be solved on one of the tasks, but it was never written on the homepage or announced in any other way, so those who were absent from that particular lecture never heard about the extra point to be completed. So if you make adjustments to the tasks or have advice,I think it would be very good if you could put it on the homepage.» - The information about "your" task number. » - maybe we could have use fluent or another commercial code» - they are well.» - Perhaps, problems in a real world will make the tasks more fun.» - Maybe have 1 or 2 problems from old exams on each task so that students get feedback on how the answers should be constructed. In my opinion it would be better to have deadlines on the reports. » - They were good enough.» - Everyting that is supposed to be in the report should be asked for in the TASK. It is not okay to add stuff that is expected to be in the report at the lecture the same day as the deadline. This must be fixed.» - give more practical tasks, i.e, tasks similar to those which are carried out in industries.» - More given codes to start with» 11. How did you like the course arrangement (Lectures/Lecture notes/Computer exercise/Course homepage/Information)- Jag tycker att det var ett bra upplägg.»- Was okey, the only thing was the jumping from room to room for the lectures.» - ok» - It was really well organized even it has been a hard course» - lecture material could be provided in student portal directly » - I think the information in genaral could be more precize. The information about what was expected from the students concerning the presentation could also be better. » - It"s quite good. Great info.» - The guestlecture gave a lot of insight in the industry as well as Sinisa´,s knowledge.» - It was quite well representative of what could be done» - they were nice and ofcourse very much motivating to hear they use the tool which we were learning. still the last lecture was more about what all they do i would like to know more about how they apply all the methods. overall it was good. » - I liked it so much. Perhaps, it"s more fun if they gave much more example rather than promote their company.» - Very good. » - Perfect.» - He talked a little too much about stuff that aren"t really interesting considering that this is a cfd course..» - good» 13. What is our general impression of the course. Are your expectations safisfied?- I"ve learned a lot, but it requires way to much time.»- Ja» - Really good course. I learned a lot.» - Yes» - I believe that it is well prepared but it can be completed by some new chapters and increasing the number of sessions.» - I expected to learn a specialized CFD solver software instead of doing everything in matlab. Apart from that, the course was good.» - Yes.» - Good course, I liked that a lot of focus was put on the Tasks, that is what I will remember» - yes» - My general impression is that the course is very good. I learn effectively when I can try and program things on my own, rather than only reading theory, so I really liked the strong link between the lectures and the tasks.» - Yes !» - generally good» - yes my expectations are satisfied. i feel more confident about handling CFD problem. » - Yes, I am satisfied.» - Little more connections to some CFD programs would be good. » - Except for lacking a more detailed explanation of fundamental concepts, everything else was good.» - General impression is ~ok. But I think the course material has to be updated. I hope that you are not satisfied with this grade and that you aim for an "excellent" grade, since you hopefully want to produce a lot of good cfd students...» - I felt it needed to be more- from the basics and then graduating to practical tasks.» - ´,good» 14. Did the exam reflect the course in a fair way?- Somehow yes, but some questions were a bit to detailed.»- Ja» - Yes! It covered the whole course.» - The did this well. But the practice exams were a bit too hard» - Yes» - yes, but the questions about task 3 is not fair because some of students had not done and they arrange to do it after the exam.» - Too much learning-by-heart for the exam. » - -» - Yes. » - sure» - I believe so» - I think the difficulty level of the exam was fair, but I think there where quite a lot of questions.
