- Detta har att göra med att kursen kändes något splittrad mellan föreläsarna och kursmaterialet. Övergången från tidigare kurser åk1-3 till denna kändes konstig då man är van att ha instuderingsuppgifter. » (About 15 hours)

- The lectures could include more material and the level of them raised. This would better reflect the exam since it was experienced as difficult. The amount of details that were expected in the exam was not understood by us students during the course. » (To some extent)

- The high grade is du to the nice laboratory assistancer, No lab PM in advance, hard to understand the PM, long time needed to make the report, information abouth the report was only given oraly.» (Fair)

- Litteraturen är väldigt tung! Det är upprepningar på upprepningar ibland och det saknas övningar för att uppmana eleven att läsa litteraturen. Det är också svårt första gången man läser litteraturen, pga av det extremt generellt formulerade kursmålet att bedöma av vilken vikt vissa delar av litteraturen har. Mycket kändes som fördjupningsmaterial.» (Some extent)

- The problem is that I know one plastic very well but not the others. I liked the idea but I don"t know if it was very helpful in learning. » (Fair)

- Basically some beginners version of the materials selection course. Works as an introduction but for those who have taken mat. select. it doesn"t give much.» (Adequate)

- The course is based on learning a lot of details rather than understanding mechanisms and so it takes time to take in the course material. This isn"t a bad thing, but it"s worth keeping it in mind. The report to the rheologi/extrusion lab was very time consuming and perhaps a bit to heavy. » (High)

- High workload with 3 labs, two projects and final exam. » (High)
- One of the labs with extrusion and injection took too long time and energy to do. The instructions for the report was unclear and was possible to put another meaning than it was meant to. The lab PM was not found on the homepage and we understand why you have to change the course» (Too high)

- Personally I feel that I have learnt a lot about the different materials in the course, but I don"t quite see the connection to light weight design. The connection to light w.. design just felt like a short version of materials selection, Ashby style. » (Adequate)
