- Could Miriam take a English course? It is very annoying to listen to her.»
- Feng Tao had some problems with english. It was very hard for me to follow his course because of his language problems»
- Miriam was only poor at lectures, too stressed, we could as well read the solutions on handouts. she was a good help in her office.»
- It is NOT okey to have lecture 15 minutes over time. The students need the break before next lecture. »

8. What did you think about the exercises/assignments/lab?


- it is better to have the lab at final weeks.»
- I really liked the dismantling lab, it hugely motivated me to get out of the whole theory at this occasion. Nice to get the chance for oily hands once in a while. Thanks for this! The tasks of the assignments were not always defined clearly, I think.»
- Assignment 1 (heat release): the goals were difficult to identify Lab (dismantling): it would be great to have a little summary sheet with each engine»
- I wasn"t really aware of the tasks we had to do for assignment 1. I would prefer more clear questions in Design Task 1. Furthermore I think it would help the students preparing for the exercises if they would know the questions before the exercise (i.e. tell the questions for the next exercise one week before) »
- For the problem exercises it would be great to have answers (not full solutions) so that you know when you were wrong.»
- The heat release assignment could have been made more interesting as well as the dismantling lab. Maybe the dismantling could be held later on in the quarter.»
- Didn"t really ever understand the heat release assignment fully. Ass 2 better, applied what we learned from class. Dismantling lab, very important to have seen an engine from the inside. Never done that before. Perhaps the tutors could be better prepared and describe the engine more - a better opportunity than when having en engine in front of you is hard to find.»

- Much more interesting and closer to the reality than I was used from my home university. Mostly really interesting lectures that helped to get a deeper knowledge of the topic.» (Excellent)

- All of Svens materials were really good, Feng did´,nt add that much of knowledge. Gas exchange with Lucien was interesting. On the whole, I would like to have learned more, but it´,s hard when everyone is on different knowledge stages.»

- In my opinion, it would help to place the midterm in the end of the course and thus combine it with the "real" exam. Now, the midterm is just putting values into equations. I think, a real understanding of what is calculated there will only come if the students have to learn both the calculating and the theory together.»
