- With only attending the lectures and spending very little time on the home work assignments the course seems to be taking not even half the time available. The essays where good though.» (No, the goals are set too low)

- While the amount of knowledge learnt could be greatly improved the sheer amount of organization required for such a course is very impressive.» (Good)

- It might be better if the questions which we hand on the end of lecture, are not compulsory. It would be nice to give the students the the opportunity to mention (in the handed paper) which part of the lecture was ambiguous to them.»

- Try all the lecturers to go through the presentations of the others to get a feeling for the overall direction of the course and subsequently they can optimize their part of it.»
- Student presentations. The second presentation (not from NanoLetters) should also be public (given to whole class), so that the students could learn from each other.»

16. Additional comments

- A weekly session with a phd student for making (additional) exercises would be nice.»
- Working in groups (pairs) should be encouraged. Then the students participate more in discussions leading to a better learning outcome. In addition, it is strongly suggested for the lecturers to pay more attention to the material related to the homework problems (because some of them were not directly related to what we heard in the lectures).»
