- The main problem with the course was the very low level of communication and academic skills of some of the participants. If you were unlucky with the groups there was a possibility that you were the only one contributing to the final report/work, a scenario which shouldnt be the case.» (Rather well)

Course structure and content

- The lectures from Gadde felt like it was only read directly fro the book and no extra explenations.»
- The BCG case is just additional work load but doesn"t add anything to the course as a whole.»
- The idea of having host companies are great, ours just wasn"t that suitable.»
- The BCG case was an intresting case, but it didn"t have a good connection to the course.»
- 5 minutes for term paper presentation is not enough»
- I have no interest in the construction industry at all.And also as an international student, i am not particularly inclined towards the swedish construction business»
- Too many assignments! We didn"t have time to do them properly. Better with a few of more importance... »
- I could not find any relation between SCM and Boston case competition!»
- I guess it was better if Ola himself had chosen the group members...In my group no one was motivated to take the case seriously. ( As I didn"t know many people I was just in a group by chance)»
- It was unclear wether the case competition was mandatory, why you tended to not perform your best if you hadn"t intended to participate from the beginning.»
- lectures on processes are perceived as rather poor because there is only one course about it since it will be studied more accurately in the following semesters.»
- Gaddes lecture were really boring and many students feel the same.guess the subject needs to be made more interesting»
- BCG hade ingen tydlig koppling till SCM. Bra med betygsättning på Individuellt TP. »

- It is kind of hard when many of the exchange students don"t speak nor write good enough English. It often took more time to rework their parts or explain assignments to them than to do everything yourself. » (Rather poorly)
- large differnce in "quality" of students. In general, the english level of the exchange students seem to be quite poor.» (Rather poorly)
- Poor just with many of the Asian students, most of the swedish students are so much "better" in groups. » (Rather poorly)

- I came to Chalmers with a foreign background and the course started maybe too fast rate in the beginning of first week. Would be maybe 2-3 easier days before the "real" work. » (High)

- To many groupworks that consumed all time but still did not contribute as much as they could have. I would rather see less assignments and more time to dig in to the assignment instead.» (Too high)

17. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- no mandatory BCG competition»
- Course literature. A book that is almost 10 years old felt outdated from time to time»
- The preparation for the exam was non existent this year, which was very bad. Particularly for the international students who where not familiar with the "swedish" way of dealing with questions in the exam. This needs to be changed!»

- Let ppl choose their own groups for some assignments and grade it. Remove the individual term paper, it was more of an academic exercise and did not feel very relevant.»

- To many assignments. Its no reason to have so many assigments so you dont have the time to do them properly nor have the time to studie because of them. Just one assignment per part and maybe a little bigger one i think would be a better approach»

- The lecture of Reverse Logistic was not "deep" enough to my mind. It is a very interesting topic but rather unimportant in this course. That is a pity.»

- I think the term paper also should be graded in studieportalen, because it is 30 % of the grade. I do not think it is fair that the exam only gives credit.»
- The theme about procurement in the scene of SCM is very good, but on the other hand it has a very theoretical approach. The part would be divided to one lesson of more practical purchasing issues and then continue to theoretical purchasing like relationships, networks etc. »
- the feedback with regard to assignments, etc were not provided at all or on time.this is important so that it would not be a surprise for students in the exam.»
