- Except Morteza, no one else was present. Herbert was always away, also Simon ,We have not even got any feedback from the Home assignments that have the direct eefect on the final score. Every body (except morteza) were naging of their lack of time , for example they left the lab before the end time ... , I think using junior PHD students as a part of teaching group is not a good idea at all.» (Very poor)

- It was on the high side because of every week home assignments and labs and teaching.» (High)
- I think the project was good, but the design in ADS is enough, I think the layout generating is beyond the scope of this course because it is very time consuming and actually we dont want to build the real circuit.» (Too high)

- As mentioned above, in combination with other obligations, this period the workload has been too high. But this is of course not a problem of this specific course, more an excuse of my own shortcomings :). » (Too high)

- I think this is very good and important course for a microwave engineer and I think It can be even mandatory. » (Good)
- The feedbackson home assignements was not good, I think there should be a way to not only have the point in the website but also discuss the HA in a 1 or 2 tutorials or at least see the possible solution in the website.» (Good)

22. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- Final project, It did a great help to improve our skills and was the best part of the course. I think It should be weighted more from the 40 now to 60% because I think that is the ultimate goal of the course.»
- Assignments, project (with layouting, no other course offers this and is a huge part in mmic design!)»
- The labs where all good and relevant. The project is an excellent learning experience, I also appreciate the "tribunal" of experienced MMIC designers during the project presentations. They gave very good and useful feedback.»

23. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Labs were terribly awfull , very poor Manuall and concept , we almost picked nothing from them and they were just a waste of time. for example all of them last only 2 hours out of 4 hours reserved. They could have content some prepration and designs instead of using a equation as a transistor. I think instead of these non-sence Home assignments the points of them should be focused on labs and preprations and a mini design each week based on that week concept. In this way every body will be familiar with all of the course contents and also will do a complete design as the project. Home assignments were very basic and theoritic like electronic courses, they were really unclear and opaque, and specifically there were no feedback not on corrections nor on correct answers. I felt there was an ignorance and careless atmosphere in the course this year.»
- The labs could be extended. Using the design kit? I"m missing feedback on the assignments. Whats is the learning outcome if I don"t know what I did wrong or right. A facit is very welcome and the format in which the answers are handed in should not reflect on the points given as long as they are correct. Otherwise very well designed assignments. »
- It would have been good for me to get some tutorial where problems similar to the home assignments where solved. It would increase the experience gained from the home assignments, since if one does not get stuck for hours on trivial parts of a problem (for example common assumptions that can be made when solving a problem). Perhaps one hour out of the four of every section could be spent on tutorial example solving. This would probably lessen the workload on the staff of the course as well, since commonly asked "simple" questions are eliminated. »
- A laborations was finished after two hours, yet the lecture was 4 hours. Shorten the lecture or extend the lab material.»

24. Additional comments

- For Master students it was very painfull not having arranged computers in corridor with ADS and design kits to do the design task, I think it is our right not to go every day between departments after lectures for the final project, in addition that if we sit on E department we can not ask our questions.»
