- Heavy workload this quarter with many projects and this course fell short.» (At most 15 hours/week)
- I spent most of the time on doing assignments not reading the text book. Even though It"s been quite lots of time, but I really liked working by FEMAP and exploring it. Also the assignment were well designed and perfect.» (Around 25 hours/week)

- The goals of the course was enough. It was the exam that missed the goals a little bit, though it wasnt a very bad/easy exam.» (Yes, the goals seem reasonable)
- I think in the theory part, we didn"t achieve the goals. Theory lectures were quite slowly progressing otherwise we had time to focus on more advanced matters. Also most of the time, the exercisers were the same as you mentioned before in the lectures. » (No, the goals are set too high)

- in the case of assignment definitely yes. But when it comes to examination It was quite straightforward and didn"t deal with finite element concepts. » (To some extent)
- The assignments was a very good way to reach the goals and was a good part of the course. The exam was also good, but there could have been 1 problem that required more skills, comparing to the grade 5. Now all questions required grade 3 to 4 skills approximatly. But for the grade 3 that i aimed at, the exam was a good way to test that. Also because it required a lot of time to do the assignments the exam couldnt have been to much harder!» (Yes, definitely)

- Sometimes to fast on the blackboard, but often because once skills from previouse courses aren"t that clear. The problems that were made during the lectures was to hard and extensive to fitt with the course goals!! (important)» (Some extent)

- The problem sett wasn"t that clear about what version and what questions that are to be done during the lecture. (maybe because the course goes for the first time). Much credits for correcting the exam before x-mas!» (Rather well)

- Det är självklart alltid svårt när man har dataövningar att tillgodose allas behov av hjälp på ett snabbt sätt, men ni gjorde ert bästa och det gick alltid att komma till er och ställa frågor även utanför ordinarie tid. Ett stort tack för det! » (Rather good)

- Difficult to see the connection between the lecture theory and the work with FEMAP.» (Adequate)
- The practical apllication with the use of Femap and the assignments was very good. The theory was rather simple. I would have liked to learn more about traps and difficulties you can face and how to counteract when working with commercial FEM-software.» (Adequate)

- almost everything (courses and tutorials are very clear and relevant and assigments are very usefull to discover the sofware) »

- the final task to improve a chasis (or something similar) is a must have. it both makes you sum up the computer assignments and think about a structural solution.»

16. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Some lecture times where you can do problems on your own, and ask for help about those! The course could include eaven more work with the FE-program.»

- The book. As said before it is way too expensive for the given content and quality. For example: Look at Fig 5.3 p.70 (doesn"t really look like quadratic functions)»

- I think the approach should be more to the correct use and interpretation of the FE computer programs, in the market there are a lot of different ones, but if we learn exactly when to use which type of element, which simplifications are accepted, the type of program we learned to use will be not so important and it will help us a lot more in our profesional lives. »

- I had already some FEM courses in my former education in France but the course was recommended by the master (NA). So I haven´,t learn that much but as it was a long time ago your course was a very good rememberance and a discover of new FEM software!(i used ANSYS) To make a comparison between both courses, yours was clearer!»
