- I think the course was very difficult and sometimes a bit confusing. Many things I had trouble with understanding became clearer in the next course Physics beyond the sm, if that is because it was the "second" time I saw things or because of maybe a clearer presentation I don"t know, but it could be the latter.» (No)
- If it was supposed to prepare us for SUSY we should have learned A LOT more about the Standard Model, and there just isn"t time!» (No)

- I think I learnt mostly by doing the exercises and reading Peskin, because many things were very hard to digest and took long time, maybe the lectures went a bit to fast.» (Some extent)
- Per had improved a lot if compared with ACP but I must have developed some type of mental blockade against learning QFT. Despite trying all summer I still don"t understand even the algebra...» (Some extent)

- P&S is undoubtably a very thorough book, but it certainly isn"t easy to understand and the problems are a killer.» (Some extent)
- Peskin is good, but hard and some calculations and reasoning I had a hard time to understand, but it helped to ask the lecturer.» (Large extent)

10. What do you think about the home problems? Did they cover a fair part of the course material?

- I think they took VERY long time to do. Maybe it would have been better if the lecturer could have given more tips or suggestions how to attack the hardest problems.»
- Yes. The problems are well chosen but are bloody difficult. For a reason I guess, if you understand the problems you understand the material. »

11. There have not been strict deadlines for the home problems. What do you think about that?

- VERY BAD. That made me not hand them in (I believe), I think everyone need a deadline, the deadline need not to be super-strict but it has to exist.»
- Would I have succeeded in doing the problems with at strict deadline? No. But I still think it"s a good idea to set dates.»
- Thats was not so good as people may delay the submission of the assignments»

- This course I felt I had to have a completely different and higher dicipline compared to other courses to manage.» (Fair)

- I started to hand in the problems late and was immediately afterwards all the time. Also I found this course much more difficult then all other courses I"ve taken, the calculations were maybe not that difficult but there were so many new concepts and methods I felt.»

21. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- The lectures aren"t bad but I think Per REALLY should urge students to read the relevant parts of P&S before he lectures about it, I think it would help a lot. He shouldn"t have to do such a thing because you should do it by default, but I think if he points it will make some (including me) do it.»

22. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Next course should have exercise sessions.»
- I have pointed out that the course isn"t bad at all, but I would like to see that it stretches out over two periods, 15 points, so that you could learn about the standard model properly and about renormalization. This would of course mean that Gabriele"s course would have to be postponed to the second year of studies and that"s a problem if it collides with Master Thesis.»
