- The teaching quality in this course was not good.i thin this course is so important more lectures are needed for this course.because i think some basics in this course are hard to understand.so it needs more teaching hours.» (At most 15 hours/week)

6. Suggest how to improve the topic for the individual report.

- I think the idea of writing a report is good, it forces the students to study on their own and think about the theory in general. Maybe it would be good to change one or two topics in the report so as to really force students to think and not just copy from the last years. Although I understand that it is hard to change the topic, since all topics treated in the lectures should be "examined"»
- The topic was fine, it was the connection between the theory and the application (book --> ship) that was the problem.»
- I think the topics were good but the time for this course in order to know the details about the topics was not enough. »

- Its a good way to evaluate how much a student has actually understood of the theory. Its good that the questions during the seminar made me think about aspects that i have not considered before, i have learnt something even during the examination, or at least checked that i have understood what i am talking about.» (5)
- Good idea but to get feedback on the report 19.30 the day before is no help at all. Also it was hard to understand how the opposition should be like. Was it supposed to be a discussion or were we supposed to point out what we hade written and the others had not?» (5)

- Good compendium, extra points for the last chapter with examples.» (4)
- I liked the fact that we got literature from more than one source. Reading other papers and the compendium gave me a good overview I think.» (5)

- I think it is good to have a tutorial for the sake of applying the theory, I don"t know how to make it more "exciting", but going through some methods and comparing them with different aspects is a good start.» (4)

- The powepoint was ok, contained basic information, attending the lectures was a big help in understanding all that. I have not worked with other sources (the blue book we could get from Lotta), but got information on the internet and from other books» (4)

- I like to study on my own, even though being guided in this course, but i am very happy that not all courses here at Chalmers present everything to you on the silver table, you really can do it on your own. I enjoyed this course a lot!» (Excellent)

- The students doing most of the work in groups/teams and some lectures to guide them through.»
- decrease the number of assignments and improve the quality of the lectures»

- More feedback on the handed in reports and assignments. Or at least regular summaries/discussions on the past assignments so that we know whether we have thought/woked in the right direction or not»
