- More practical examples of how you choose boundaries, what assumptions you can make and what assumptions you shouldn"t use. Ideally some pure "calculation lectures". Less plain repeating of stuff in the book.»

A lot of the lectures in the end feels kinda pointless, like a full 2 hours discussing the importance of using the methods for them to work (seriously?).»
- A.M.Tillman does not make the lectures interesting and it is often hard to hear what she is saying because she is mumbleing a lot. When I came to her office and asked her a question she treated me very rood which I think is very inappropriate for a supervicer to do.»
- The lectures weren"t hard to understand, but the contents should be changed.»
- The late arrival of Ann-Marie at the beginning of the lecture combined with a bit sleepy lectures lowers the grade»
- It is always nice with student interaction in some part of a lecture. Some of A-M lectures included that and a think it was both appriciated and educative. »

- Maybe Akzo Nobel (in the way it was presented) was to complicated in this early stage of the corse. I think I would understand more of it in teh end of the course.»

- The fact that Anne-Marie is "repeating" almost what is said in the book make the lectures less interesting. Couldn"t it be condensed?»

- Did not learn that much from the software exercise, but i suppose it was good to get a glimps of what it looks like.»
- Software exersise was to fast for me to follow. Maybe some information/instructions befor of the content of the exercise. Definitly one computer per person or maximum two people/computer. Not so educational just to sit beside someone else.»
- Nice with exercises but no answers to them... The software exercise wasn"t good at all, only learned that LCA through software can be done, and then the program crashed.»

- It is an extreamly time consuming project, and when you put me in a group with 2 other people who have no wishes what so ever to perform ANYTHING and that the result is that I have to perform almost an entire LCA ON MY OWN, then I think you should rethink your idea that it is a good think that you divide us into groups. It is an EXTREAM load to put on ONE PERSON and I am pretty sure that you wouldnt enjoy it either! Maybe if you had groups of 5 persons then the chance is that it is at least 2 people who are decent enough to do some work! OR you should think on dividing us into groups depending on what type of grade people want - and then DONT MIX people who barely want to pass with people who stirve for a higher grade. Maybe that is ok on lower level education but I do expect MORE on master level. OR you should demand some sort or english speaking knowledge of the participants! The LCA course is by far the worst course I have encountered on master level and only because of the group you put me in! However I do like the other parts of the course.»
- feedback was insufficient, no answers to posed questions, promised answers by mail were never received by us. had the impression the tutor"s knowledge on the subject was very small.»
- Overall a good exercise. Would be nice perhaps with two projects with a somewhat smaller scope so it"s possible to test how you "should" have done the first one.»
- The project was good, i dont feel we got that much support from our supervisor (christin) but otherwise there was no problem.»
- Christine didn"t give us good answer it was look at the net and when asking a bit more she said that the information couldn"t be found at the net. When we consulted Ann-Marie and Johan the anwers were much simpler to understand and resonable.»

- There were some problems with the project, one problem is when you are in a group with very different levels of amition. I felt like I didn"t learn very much, since most time was spend on explaining and trying to get all in the group to do things. If we can form the group ourselves, or if the groups were bigger so that you"re not so vunerable it would give more learning opportunities. The feed-back and supervising that we got was good for nothing, we got no indication if we were on the right track, and no positive feedback on anything - just comments on headings and small things.»
- It is much better with gruops where the students choose their own groupmembers. Now a lot of time where spend to just make the communication work within the group.»
- I would have liked more support to start with the project: how to organize the calculations etc. It would be good to have scheduled time (1 hour) with the supervisor to see how to organize the Excel sheet, rather than only looking through the goal and scope definition.»

- For instance when the teacher got the question if we shouldn"t get the other groups reports first for us to be able to make a written critical review on them, her answer was : "Oh, I didn"t think about that".» (No)
- This was the weakest point. Many times information about group meetings, exams and lectures was either missing or late. I would prefer these details to be informed as early as possible.» (No)

13. Further opinions, comments and suggestions how the course can be improved?- The course can be changed into two quarter study. Thus studetns have plenty time to understand and accomplish the LCA study exercise.»
- Restructure the project work somehow! OR make it a lot smaller if you still think it is a good idea to divid the groups on your own! But please make people form their own groups - SO many people would be A LOT happier!
I also feel that the own reflections put in the report is a bad idea if you want some sort of honesty in it. It is impossible to write what you really think about your tutor or other group members since everyone will have an opportunity to read it - so instead people only write sweet-talk and nothing on how disfunctional the group was etc (unless it worked well I guess)»
- It is great for students to get oppurtunities to further studying the practical LCA in company under the teachers" favors. It is no doubt that these types of oppurtunities would stimulate the students" passion to learn LCA »
- Preparing of teaching in the class must be well prepared. »
- Remove the exam and enlargen the project, the exam discussed the things you learned in the project. Improve the ppt"s that Ann-Marie presented, there was too much of: here"s a figure, and here"s another one, and as you can see they become... Impossible to follow.»
