- The choice of questions felt very arbitrary, and some smaller parts of the course were given a big part of the exam. For example virtualization.» (No, not at all)

- The lectures was informative but EXTREMELY boring. Arne seems to be only interested in watching the floor, and neither Arne nor Thomas seems confident in the subject, even though they clearly are. Lab supervision was OK.» (Small extent)

- The teachers of the course need to either learn better English or speak in a more understandable manner. This goes for everyone involved except Wolfgang who did a great job during the lab sessions.» (Small extent)

- I wished I could"ve said to larger extend, but as the exam showed me, the available material on course web page and earlier exams did not meet up with demands set in this final exam.» (Small extent)
- The course book was fairly useless, the printouts from Cremona were all useful. The additional reading linked from the website was interesting, but did not help me that much with the course.» (Some extent)
- I didn"t use the course book much. But the lecture notes where good because they give a good overview of the course.» (Large extent)
- it was important to read some parts of the book (Silberschatz), using only the presentation slides for exam-preparation is not enough.» (Large extent)

- no update after feburary,the lecture slides is a chaos.» (Very badly)
- In extension to earlier comment, since the course web page and available resources didn"t match the expectations you set in exam, it can"t be viewed as well.» (Rather badly)
- It worked well. The only problem was some confusion as to when the labs were supposed to be handed in. The course webpage had mixed regular week numbers with the Chalmers study period week numbers without cleraly stating which was which.» (Rather well)
- studieportalen is no good, so therefore it is always good when courses make their own webpages, looks like it was made in the 80"s though» (Rather well)
- Not good that a illegal pdf was the only possible way to get the book.» (Rather well)

- Poorly, very, very poorly. The cooperation ended before lab1 was finished. I wrote entire lab2 preparation myself, and then I ditched the lab part of this course due to time constraints in my other courses and work.» (Very poorly)
- I had to cooperate with someone else, but my lab partner was not much help at all. » (Rather poorly)

- There is the "bachelor thesis" which you can work as much as you want in, so it depends on you» (Adequate)

- OS should be interesting, the lecture weren"t and the course was very basic» (Poor)

- Course contents are mostly interesting, however many things are not directly related to operating systems.» (Fair)
- It"s a double edged blade really, that the context of the course seem to change to much to coup with changes in computer systems. It great it"s up-to-date, what wasn"t great was that you were left in the blind on the exam if you"d studied old exams since they don"t reflect new material and learn stuff that"s been cut.» (Adequate)
- The content of the course was good and the labs were okay. But the quality of the lectures need to be improved.» (Adequate)

- The two labs are good (but the shell parser is awful). The lectures about Processes, Threads, UNIX, Memory Management, File Systems, Scheduling and Virtual Machines»

16. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Remove the Disk lecture (what does disks have to do with the OS apart from the driver), and the lectures about Distributed stuff. Info about deadlocks and synchronization should definately be shorter (you learn all of that in other courses)»

- this is the worst course ever i"ve been to at chalmers!!!it"s a nightmare.»
- This course covers a large range of topic, we have to keep the pace at 3 lectures per week. some content of the lecture is hard to be found in a specific chapters in the Course book. maybe too many topics in 7 weeks.»
