- It was to much things that was dealt with on overhead instead of on the blackboard which is to prefer whenever advanced topics are handled.» (Large extent)

- The lecture Notes, uploaded files on student portal and other materials were good but the text book (Salih) was awful :( » (Some extent)
- I don"t like the Saleh-Teich book much. There must exist better books on lasers. I would have liked a book which goes into more detail. Even if one does not remember all the details, I feel that it would give the book a greater credibility. » (Large extent)
- I couldn"t take great notes. So the course material and the book very usefull. Maybe the lecture notes could be clearer, for example less information per page but with some comment.» (Great extent)

- As a suggestion to next year: could you merge the pdf"s from each chapter so that one does not have to print 20 documents and gets everything in the wrong order when someone else checks the printer. The summary of each chapter was very helpful. » (Rather well)

- I had some difficulties in managing the whole workload and several times I was forced to spend very long time on projects for another course that had a nearer deadline.» (High)

13. Student Projects- comments and suggestions?

- Good, but to keep it to one page seemed hard for everyone. But it was intresting and I actually read about someone how hade made the lasik surgery and now I really understand how. I think it made the course more "real". I liked it. »

- Good, I really liked to see what lasers were used for in the reality.»
- I would have liked a study visit to the MC2 clean room. But the three visits were good. Especially the last one at Micronic. »

- Study visits were quite fine, We can have some visits to companies working on communication like Ericson.»
- Saab was not useful. It was mostly a commercial advertisement. The 2 other study visits were usefu and helpful»

- 1. The final exam was too tough. 2. I think a part of the grades (scores) should be for Lab sessions. 3. Having Bonus points for home assignments will be much more encouraging.
