- To pass the exam you just needed to look at the previous exams and memorize the answers. It did not measure if you had understood the contents or not.» (To some extent)
- But the mid-term exam was too concentrated on microwave tomography. (we had 2-3 lectures about it). And the other topics had some errors in the questions.» (I don"t know/have not been examined yet)

- Hoi-Shun is difficult to understand. He"s english is hard to follow. But the guest lectures have been excellent!» (Small extent)

- The relatively large number of lectures was very helpful in keeping my interest in the subject and in avoiding studying the material only at the end of the course. The guest lecturers were easy to understand and useful in helping me learn their content. The lectures by Anthony and Andreas were good, but I found there were too few exercises based on them, the amount of theory was not reasonable to comprehend and remember without some practical application. Without practical application presenting the theory seems unneccessary.» (Some extent)

- It was adequate in general, but the last lab work about Microwave Tomography has been a little difficult for all... It seems to me that no one really understands the questions. And when I asked the supervisor, then the answers were also difficult. But at least Andreas tried to explain what he wants us to do...» (High)

- It was ok but many parts were repetition and the MT lab was a joke. 90 % of the time I spent on making the lab didn"t give me any valuable knowledge. The program wasn"t working as it should and we had to run it many times which was very timeconsuming. » (Fair)
- Interesting subject but hard to get a grip of the level, problems with understanding the accent of the main lecturer and extremely time consuming last lab that did not give much knowledge.» (Fair)
- The guest lectures were excellent! Other lectures were difficult to follow and not so good... And the Microwave Tomography lab has been a big subject for a headache.» (Adequate)
- I would have liked more practical exercises as I personally learn much better by doing than by simply listening. Courses where there was an exercise or hand-in every week have been very helpful to me and are the ones that I remember the most from. I had big problems with the Microwave Tomography lab, however. I spent a very large amount of time just running the program and tabulating data, in fact so much time that I was discouraged from/forgot to use the lecture material as a basis for analyzing the results. Despite the time and effort I expended on the lab, I feel that what I handed in was simply a set of data. The lab did not help me grasp the related concepts, and I am likely one of the students who has a high chance of understanding the EM-field theory, having taken Mikael Perssons EM-field theory course in my undergraduate studies. The amount of time that would have been needed to produce the data needed for an adequate analysis and draw conclusions about MW-tomography would have been unrealistic (in my opinion). The CT-exercise was in contrast very helpful in my learning the concept. Perhaps more lecture time at a slower pace on MW-Tomography theory would be helpful?» (Good)
