- The labs were very good, but the examination was too hard to know it all from my head, normally I keep trying until I have something working and I can"t just do that on paper» (To some extent)

- due to an extra course it was much too high the last two weeks, but I guess that was my own fault. this course fits nice in a normal schedule, so nothing wrong with this course.» (Too high)

- The use of glpk is pretty useful, just like the great number of LP problem we have seen. The duality have also been well presented.»

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- better structured course.»
- clearify important steps of the algorithm, they are explained in the lecture but easy to miss»

- maybe the exam, I think it is more for doing the course instead of an examination, to test if everyone did some of the lab work you could for example make a short oral talk about the labs.»
- It would be nice to get a summation of each lecture as a pdf. It is recommended that the course introduce a few mandatory hand-in exercises each week to get students going earlier.»
- Maybe we could spend more time on the Simplex algorithm, at least during the exercice course.»
- More efforts in the administration around the course. * There were 3 different gradings for the course, and no information on which was the correct one. (One where a subjective measure on the assignments would be done, one where there would be points given both on the set of problems and the take home exam/project, with 70% of the grade is based on the exam/project, and finally on the take home exam a grading purely based on the points given on the exam) * The examination shouldn"t change during the course. (The set of problems appeared in the middle of course) * Better prepared excercise sessions. At some of them we just sat there wondering what would happen, no information at all about what should be done or what would happen. * Better prepared lectures. Preferably an overview of the lectures from the beginning. And preferably a set of lecture notes on the webpage afterwards. Not just a link to someone elses lecture, or which section in the course book. * The projects should be better specified. "based on ... discussed in class" requries either a very good memory, or a very good set of lecture notes to be sure that the details are correct. * It would be good with several assignment deadlines, not just 2 in the end of the course. 2 smaller set of problems during the course would be better.»

- Good course, We were just a little dissapointed the way the labs were graded, doing all the extra parts, it works perfectly, and than getting a 3??? » (den här kommentaren har blivit redigerad i efterhand)
