- The letures focuses very little on the exam, however the exam is the greater part of the course. The exam is what gives you credits here then it would be naturally to put more focus on how to beat the exam. In my opinion the exam model is obsolete due to this. The project execises are a more modern way to learn, and the knowledge gained from them lasts longer and are of more importance and deeper. Projects also improves a students presentation abilities. They are also much more real work oriented then the exam model. Project leaves room for reflection and discussion, it yields a higher level of communication between student and teacher. » (To some extent)
- It seemed that the exam addressed topics that were not covered in the coarse. Otherwise, the exam required a strong knowledge of the course material.» (To some extent)
- But it"s very difficult when one don"t have calculation materials to get through. It would also help to have a number of theroretical questions that one could have to study before the exam. In the course Heat transfer we got lots of questions to study on.» (Yes, definitely)

- The exam was not too actually too hard, but long. Due to the scope of some of the questions there was not time for correcting errors. All in all I found the question setting succesful, even though the weighing was not accurate. Weighing the questions might be worth considering as I felt that 3rd question was a lot harder than the first (both worth 6 points).» (Yes, definitely)

- The English Written was terrible somewhere in compendium book. It highly needed for revise.» (small extent)

- Not very much. The book is a good idea but the pedalogical content is diffusive and not presented properly. The language quality is not what you expect from a technical institute such as Chamlers. » (some extent)

- I would rise the contents of the project and make them more work demanding, even add more projects. They are very good ways to learn things the proper way. Speedload your head with quickfacts a couple of rushy days before an exam would not suffice any conceptlearning, you do lose the whole pictures and you quick forget the things learned. Projects are something a student can be proud of and keep, remember it and put into bigger concepts and cycles.» (to keep the project exercises as obligatory)

- Keep to the subject! The first 10-15 minutes on most lectures are totally irrelevant. Take some time for preparations! Make a plan of how to present the contents of the lecture.» (Good)

- Lot"s of time to keep up with reading in our other main course (Sus Energy Futures) was required (along with exercises), so reviewing the old exams early on was not possible, although I wish I had once I finally looked at them. It might be helpful to sort out the old exam questions by lecture topic and provide them as review material along the way.» (High)

- Fair only because there is so much potential in this course which goes to waste. Cut off the exam, its an ancient and obsolete learning system. Add more and extend the projects instead. Increase the english level of the course litterature and the theachers. Improve the projects instructions, make them clearer. Bring real life case studies which exemplifies the course content in practise more.» (Fair)

- I was concerned in looking at the old exams when I saw problems that would have been excessively time consuming on an exam, and in particular for trial and error retrofitting of large networks. That didn"t seem to make sense as a way of testing what we learned. So, the exam this time seemed appropriate. As far as an overall impression, it seems that knowledge of these methods is very useful. This course delivered on the understanding of important methods.» (Good)
