- As I said, because I basically knew everything from the beginning neither the teacher nor the study material contributed to my learning...because there were nothing to learn really.» (Small extent)
- I really like Rosita"s lectures but since I hardly attended any they didn"t really help me. I"m simply the night-working type described in home-exam part 2 but with an even higher probability of skipping class :-)» (Small extent)
- I read the course literature in advance, hence the lectures contributed only somewhat to my understanding of the subject. If I wouldn"t have read in advance I expect the teaching would have made a much more significant contribution to my understanding.» (Some extent)

- This is the only bad part about the course. The dates for the home-exam were altered without any clear notice and home-exam 2 was even changed without any clear statement!» (Rather badly)

- I suppose the question refers to discussing the exam after handing it in. Speaking of which, I think that the cases of collaboration on the exams should have been dealt with much more harshly. It is completely unacceptable that people were allowed to cheat on the exams.» (None)
- I learn a lot through discussion, and even though my solutions are entirely mine and very well understood by me, they are without doubt influenced by my classmates" solutions.» (To a great extent)
- I never did any solution together with my fellow students and I never copied someone elses work. I did however discuss which method seems reasonable to use to solve problems. I also compared numbers to spot pure calculation errors.» (To a great extent)

- The written exam was even easier than the home exams, it was like a joke. 2 extremely easy proofs and 2 extremely easy problems.» (1 (Not at all))

- Jag läser kursen via min teknikbas finansiell matematik. Kursen var där beskriven åt det finansiella hållet, t.ex. aktiernas flukterationer är stokastika osv. I kursen var det inget alls med detta.» (2)

18. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- price of the book, more material on the web site (e.g. problems solved)»
- Have an oral exam at the end. It"s impossible to prevent cooperation with the home exams, something that"s entirely unfair to those who do it on thier own. Cooperation is a faster and funnier method of learning and will always be there. It"s naive to think otherwise. An oral exam should however ensure that the grades are justly set. I"d also like a higher speed and progress in the course, even though I guess this can not be achieved due to the different levels the students come from.»
- Att vi läser med de som har ungefär samma förkunskaper, det blir inte kul för någon när det är som det är nu. Skulle även vara bra med räknestugor så att man faktiskt kan få hjälp att räkna uppgifterna.»
- I would find it better if there were more focus on understanding and less on the formal proofs, but the course may be supposed to mainly concern the proofs.»

- I would personally have preferred devoting less time to presenting the examples from the book. The students must be presented with at least brief answers/solutions to selected exercises to facilitate solving problems at home, since it is very difficult to follow a solution on the blackboard if the concepts of the solution have been presented only two minutes earlier. Isn"t it wasteful to write everything on the blackboard? Most students copy the blackboard letter by letter, and have very little attention left to spare on what is really being taught. Wouldn"t it be better to have at least some parts as slide presentations, for which there could be (downloadable) copies?»

19. Additional comments

- The different problems at the home assignment were marked rather digital I think. Points should be given for solutions on the right track, with a good mathematical insight etc. even if the answer is wrong, the problem partly misunderstood or a smaller error made.»
- Rossitza is a great teacher, probably the best on Chalmers. And those stories about Kolmogoroff & co were the most interesting stories Ive ever heard. Thank you Rossitza for a bit too easy but nice course :)»
