- Especially when there has been complementary comments to the slides, and when there has been examples given to clearify the topic. But there could be more of those, since the lectures basicly follows the book, some greater knowledge could have been presented in the lectures.» (Large extent)

- There seemed to be lack of communication between Hossein and Piotr so especially the homepage fell short. It was not updated, homeassignment dates were unclear. There was no information on what was or would be handed out in class or if it would be put on the homepage, especially regarding the tutorials. The homepage could have been used more, so that there wouldn"t be so many places to get information about the course, but rather one place.» (Rather badly)
- Most of the photonics handouts are distributed in a massive paper scale A0+. Resizing them to A4 would save a lot of effort for the printers and servers.» (Rather well)

- Home assigment 2: Extra information became available a few days before hand-in (links to important web pages, info on where to find substrate information...). Please give all information in the assignment - I spent a lot of time trying to find that information, and then it is suddenly just given...» (Rather well)

Genomsnitt: 3.61 - It really did give a solid ground for futher studies in mirowave engineering. At times I would have liked more explanations in the tutorials instead of just using formulas. But that would of course reduce the number of problems that can be handled at the tutorials. » (Good)

- The homepage. More exam problems with solutions.»
- Bonus points for the Home Assignments! Solutions to the problems in the book available from start. Also old exams with solutions!»
- Give recommended exercises (eg. from the book) that those who want to can do at home, already from the first week. »
- Use the homepage more and better. As it is now, if you miss one class or tutorial you miss a lot of info about the course (concerning due dates, hand outs etc.). It is not reasonable to think a student can attend all lectures/tutorials.»
- the tutorials should be better along with a weekly set of recommended exercises»
- Give bonus points for the home assigments! I didn"t want to do my best, because there was no reward if I did.
Give some teaching on topics of importance for the labs BEFORE the labs start.
Make solutions to problems in Collin"s book available early in the course.»

16. Additional comments- The microwave tutorials reflect the difficulty of the exam better than the photonics tutorials does.»
- the labs felt very misplaced in time in comparison to the course»
- I am not impressed by the tutorials. I know that I don"t like the style of teaching in the tutorials, but I can live with that. However, I find it unacceptable that the teacher at many points didn"t seem to know how he had made his own solutions. He seemed to be following someone else"s notes. Please be better prepared!»
