- examination was set very hard, it was really an strange examination. I worked hard for my examination but when i saw the question paper I was surprised. it was made too much difficult. just it was made complicated » (No, not at all)

- Too high given what the exam tested - learning equations and derivations by heart rather than focusing on how and why the different things worked, and why they were used.» (Too high)

- Exam tested mostly learning equations and derivations by heart, not understanding. Pspice exercises are a good idea, but wait time for help and grading were appalling. Student representatives selected as an afterthought halfway through course, not as regulated at the start. No custom questions for evaluation (I"d like to have seen q"s for how pspice, tutorials, labs and lectures worked)» (Poor)

- Excellent, the lectures were very good. Everything was well explained and written on the blackboard. Therefore it was easy to follow and understand what was thought. The demonstration hand outs were very good. Everything was well explained.» (Excellent)

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Since tutorials are very important in this course, then I think we need more example exercises. The book exercises are too complicated.»

- I would have like to had more clear lectures, I had the felling that we were jumping between one topic and another, and it was hard to catch up, for some of us it was the first contact with power electronics, and sometimes it was very hard to follow.»
- The PSpice labs. The home assignment were good, but pushing a button just to see that the curves are like in the book does not teach me much.»
- as i know from my self from the students the lecturer a little bit fast and it will be good the lecture slides are put in the web two three days before the start of the course.»
- Pspice wait time for help/grading was too long. Lab pm unclear (no info on how connections on add-in card looks - guesswork for students!) Student representatives selected at START of course. Bad exam. Tutorials were just going over the handouts - if you do handouts (which is great!!!), refer to them and show how and why you do what you do, don"t just calculate everything again. It"s not a math course!»
- Thorbjörn needs to be prepared and should stick to the subject. He knows a lot, that"s obvious, but it gets all messy for us that doesn"t know anything about converter components from the start. We have a hard time trying to understand how the current goes for normal operation, at first. »

- the teachers are good ,but they should give us some more notes,we can not remember every points that they give us in the lecture by only seeing the pictures,more explanations are needed.»
