- The way to examinate students in this course good be way better, however I noticed good intentions from the course constructor. To improve this I suggest that students do more project works by them selves and that they will be graded more on how they present things in class. Student who don"t oraly participate in the seminars should have a harder time passing the course in my opinion. » (To some extent)

And about Heat and power plants, perhaps mention that we have a High Tech brand new such plant right here in Gothenburg would have been nice. Its an execellent example of how to adjust to a more sustainable living since that plant strives to be run only with biogas, its it not mentioned anywhere in the course.» (Small extent)

The history class may not by content be the most important but in the sense of this quote it is of extreme importance "To know where you are going you must know where you come from" » (Could have been better)

- This exercise litterly gave me nothing, I did a much more advanced work during high school on the exact same subject, this is supposed to be masters level. I also rather do it in smaller groups, due to practical logistics 12 people writing 6-7 pages thats not suitable. gruops of 2 would be much more giving. Students should also be encourged to think outside the box here, like tha plastic and paper bag group, what about textile bags ?! they should have suggested that.» (Not useful at all)

- Too have this type of project work is not good, because in our group 3 person worked hard and the rest did not care, and we who worked did not receive credit for our work, rather we missed the chance for a higher grade becasue of this. » (Rather poorly)

- The big project work was performed in way too big groups. In a group of twelve everyone can"t help even if they want too. We had a lot of problems in our group of six as well, since three exchange students handed in texts copied from the internet and it took until reading week five before one of them handed in something written by herself (which we agreed to do until week 2), the other two never handed in anything they had done themselves and did not help in the project at all. If we had written a contribution report and gotten individual bonus points this would have been more acceptable, but as it was today, I worked very hard to give them "free" bonus points since they did nothing. You need to work out a system that is not as unfair as this.» (Rather poorly)

- The bonus activities took far too much time, especially the big project (who is something you almoust have to do to pass the exam) and the sustainability seminar. It felt really unfair that Magdalena thought it was okay that some of the exchange students copied their texts directly from internet and just could change that afterwards, when I put so much time into doing proper research and working with my text to make it good.» (Too high)

- The big project is not really a bonus activity, since we need those points to pass the exam. I also think that a contribution report for the big project is needed, since some people worked really hard while others did absolutely nothing. I also think that the amount of bonus point in comparison with the amount of work load was really different between the different activities. To get four bonus points just to watch a movie and sit silent at the discussion (as many did) was very much easier then to get seven points at the sustainability seminar. It also feels a bit unfair with the bonus point lectures which many times collided with mandatory classes I had in another class. Most students take experimental design at the same time, but you don"t have to take these courses at the same time and those of us who took PPD could not attend at many of the bonus point activities. If there is going to be this many collisions in the schedual you should inform about that when we choose the courses for the first time in the masters program so that we are aware of that from the beginning.» (It can be improved)

36. Additional comments- The seminar essays should not be corrected by the students (peer-reviewed). It is not fair to have the students deal with copying in the reports when it is people they have to meet in class afterwards.»
- The Bonus system did not motivate one when it came to writing the examn, knowing that you could not get a 5 even if you write full point on the exam. I had almost full points on all exercises except project work and because of that I missed the grade 5. Too time consuming course and soemtimes covering basic subjects.It is supposed to be an advanced course.»
- It was a great course. It was very relevant to present day issues regarding sustainability and engineering.»
