Genomsnitt: 2.14 - En tenta där det handlade mer om tur än om att bevisa sin kunskap där alla uppgifterna är hundra gånger svårare och där metoder ska användas som inte ens har diskuterats. Det enda ordet för tentan är fiasko. Har aldrig laggt ner så mycket tid på tentaplugg på någon kurs och varit så säker att jag ska klara den innan tentan. Även om jag hade pluggat 2v till till tentan så hade jag inte fått ett bättre resultat.» (No, not at all)

- Tenta var väldigt svår. Teltatalen kändes ganska konstruerade för att just vara svåra och behandlade saker som knappt hade gåtts igenom på föreläsningar och övningar.» (To some extent)
- The exam was a bit out-of-scope from the lectures. Pretesting analysis and COMAC would have been better to included in the project work instead. Also a bit frustrating that two other questions on the exam included damping which had not really been handled in the exercises I attended.» (To some extent)

- Do not see so much connection to civil engineering. This makes it less interesting for me as a civil engineering.» (Fair)

- I think it is a bit problematic to have a combined course with students from applied mechanics and from structural engineering because we bring with us quite different background knowledge. Most of the structural enginners have not had any course in dynamics before which makes even the "intro" -lecture to sth. new whereas lots of things probably are repetition for the applied mechanics students.» (Good)

- Vad var det för tenta???? Och att du har mage att säga att resultatet var sämre pga att det var längre beräkningsgång. Jag kan berätta för dig att anledningen till det dåliga resultatet var att uppgifterna var på en helt annan nivå på tentan än vad som gavs på räkneövningarna samt på samtliga gammla tentor.»
- The course book was not really useful. It was expensive with a lot of useless pages, and for the second part of the course there were some difference between the book and the course materials which was confusing. Also not enough examples was included in the book.
I am not sure if the exam should be changed or not. I guess the main problem was the sample exams that made us go in the wrong way... But I would say the sample exams were a little silly! and they did not cover the whole course. If I hadn"t seen the sample exams, I would spend more time on the lecture notes...
The U72 compendium was not really clear, since there was not enough examples in it, a lot of description which I could not understand because of the lack of example.

1 instead of 2 iterations for newmark, 2x2 instead of 3x3 matrices, ...
If it is impossible to do the exam with a basic calculator like a TI30 this should be mentioned before!»

- The exam has to be made sure to be finishable in 4 hours. A calculator able to handle matrices was absolutely necessary. This requirement should be removed by modifying the exam tasks or it should be more heavily emphasized that such a calculator is necesary.»

- Mycket bra att man får bygga en modell som man sedan gör strukturdynamiska analyser på. Dock tycker jag att för mycket tid lades på att bygga och testa modellen, tid som annars skulle lagts på att plugga teori och lösa problem. Lite otydligt formulerade "assignment"- uppgifter och varför vi skulle använda oss av modförskjutningsmetoden (en kort motivering skulle ge bättre försåelse). »

- Overall the course was really a good course and especially the design-build-model assignment was a great experience. The teacher was really cool, and I enjoyed the lectures.»
