- Easy to reach Phd students and willing to help. Also easy to get hold of Claes and Göran and seem to care about the students learning.» (Very good)

- This course was very poorly organized and there seemed to be little communication between the 5 people that contributed to the teaching. The literature was very badly set up and inadequate, examples were very often wrong or so badly hand written that it was impossible to fallow them. » (Poor)

- Väldigt mycket samma innehåll som i Geoteknikgrundkursen.» (Fair)
- The exercises was good but the lectures seen to be boring» (Good)
- Not much new stuff compared to the basic course in geotechnics.» (Good)
- The integrated exercises, guided by the assistents were very useful and most of the things I learned, I learned during the exercise hours. The assistents were always well prepared and eager to answer questions and help us. I experienced the lecture hours mostly as a help to get an overview about the topic we were studying further on our own, so the lectures were helpful for me only to a small extent. All in all it was a good course.» (Good)

- Många räkneövninigar är bra för att lära sig, så behåll upplägget 1 timme föreläsning, 3 timmar räkneövning.»

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Not so slow in the beginning, we had nothing to do. But that is off course also ok...»
- It would maybe be good to have som e kind of project to get an even better understanding and to see how it works in real life.»
- If there is some introduction to geotechnics software in the form of project work»
- Better course literature, especially the statistic part. Better lectures.»
- Bättre kursmaterial, det som är känns mest bara ihopslängt och ingen riktigt bra struktur och ordning. Ett riktigt kompendie hade varit bra. Övergå även till Eurocode, för det känns meningslöst att lära sig något som man vet kommer att ändras när som helst. Tycker även föreläsningarna skulle vara mer strukturerade, anteckningarna på tavlan känns mest ditslängda allteftersom föreläsaren kommer på nåt (speciellt Claes). Omöjligt att förstå föreläsningsanteckningarna efter föreläsningen. Till sist gillar jag inte systemet att det inte går att få 5:a direkt på tentan utan att man måste göra en muntlig examination för att få det.»

- I don’,t think that this course is good for a international student coming to study in a international program since the course focuses very much on local geology that is very different then in most other countries in Europe and in the world.»
- The calculation exercises were sometimes too specific, in the sense that several simplifying assumptions were made. It would be nice to learn a general, a more realistic approach that deals with complex problems, as it is in reality.»
