- The course literature was horrible and somewhat outdated. IT is an area that develops at extreme speeds and I did not get the feeling that the course literature had been developed in the same way. » (Small extent)

- I mean, seriously. It"s 2015, the webpages looks like something from the early 90s and the labs haven"t been updated for years and years (and no, it can"t be because they work so well because they don"t and never has been).» (Very badly)

- Kunde ibland ta över en timma att få hjälp vid labb-tillfällena.» (Rather good)
- Good in the start of the course, but got worse when more ppl took place and "paniced" for their owns laborations, then the help actually got very bad.» (Rather good)
- Labsessions were good and the help teachers were very understanding for the poor quality in handout material etc. » (Very good)

- Jag gjorde inte alla övningsuppgifter, men labbarna var väldigt olika. 3e labben (sudoku) var väldigt mycket svårare än de andra. Lite som att gå in i en vägg först. . .» (Adequate)

- Fire is a good way to handle assignments»

- The labs were fun and helpful when learning. Some labs like the Memory/Sudoku should be kept. Something fun for the students to make as well as learn from. »

- Lab helpers. Alexander and Anton were great. When you asked for help they led you toward the answer, they didn"t blurt it right out.»

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Sista tentafrågan var en fråga som vi inte alls labbat på, utan endast sett exempel och funnits uppgifter i boken. Vore bra om man involverade lite enkel grafik (som efterfrågades i den uppgiften) på lab 2 och 4 kanske, dessa var ändå labbar som var ganska enkla och gick snabbt, sen eventuellt ta bort någon del från labb 3, som tog lika mycket tid som lab 1,2 och 4 tillsammans.»

- More evolved excersises lessons, the two students who are the laborations-leaders should be more prepaired for these lessons. More then half of the excersises were skipped because of problems in the logistics. Maybe more leaded classes where they present the solution for us after some time, and talk more about it, otherwise students get passive!»

- Labbarna hade blivit bättre om handledarna hade fått komma på labbarna. De nuvarande labbarna är flera år gamla, och vissa saker är lite outdated.»

- I have extensive experience (3+ years as work) in java, so the course was very easy for me. So my metrics are not very good»
- I had high expectations on quality studying at Chalmers/University of Gothenburg. These expectations was far from fulfilled in this course and I would not recommend anyone taking this course at Chalmers / UG.»

- ming noone understood him the first time, while the majority of us actually did understand him. I do want to emphasize again that i am certain he meant well, it just didn"t come out the way he wanted it. Positive things: The labs chosen for us were really good for learning and fit our level perfectly. Maybe Alexander or Anton should rewrite the instructions though. Book was alright but it would definetly be better in english, as it"s hard to know what to google for if you want to know more. Exceptions were written as "Exceptionella händelser" in the book. Whle this example specifically would probably not be too bothersome to look up, it"s just an example.»
- Where to begin. It really shows that the teacher"s heart is at the right place, but his teaching methods are really discouraging. There are alot of wierd instructions in the lab instructions and at some places they were just wrong. He claimed things to be/do what they did not do. During lectures he spoke as if, as i felt it, we were stupid. You sat there and felt as if he thinks you"re really stupid. He gets stuck at too trivial matters and explains the same things over and over again, assuming noone understood him the first time, while the majority of us actually did understand him. I do want to emphasize again that i am certain he meant well, it just didn"t come out the way he wanted it. - Läraren löste ett problem med en gruppsituation med bravur. Och har också ett vänligt sätt som är uppskattat. Vi hade mest med Alexander att göra, och han upplevde jag som duktig och väldigt uppoffrande för studenterna. » (den här kommentaren har blivit redigerad i efterhand)
