- Closer to 76 than 100.» (76%-100%)
- I was sick during the first seminar, and when my friends came back and told me about the system with "points" for saying "anything" I didn"t feel that it was a system i wanted to participate in. Quality should always trumph quantative.» (51%-75%)
- Due to some other obligations I missed a couple of lectures and seminars.» (51%-75%)
- Even though the content was good, it simply didn"t seem time-effective. Instead, I did all of the reading in these slots.» (26%-50%)
- I had always overlaps with the course Preliminary Plant Design» (0-25%)

General Impression

2. What is your general impression of the course?

- Due to the termpaper. However I do not feel I brought much with me in entering a changeprogram. Rather I feel more confused.» (Positive)
- Nice structure, and the term papers help us understand better. Papers for reading, some shorter ones could be chose. » (Positive)
- I little bit to brief. Could maybe go deeper into some parts» (Positive)
- But quite unclear regarding the term paper..» (Positive)
- Good content, but not great ways to get it out.» (Positive)
- The possibility to choose a subject that you want to learn more about is very positive, what can be argued is the learning objectives - if all student "learn what the are supposed to learn" when you spend such a big part of the course in one project (subject) that chosen by a group.» (Positive)
- No major change in my mindset about how to perform change but it is good to have reflected on it» (Positive)
- I think we should have more discussion and less lectures on wednesday class.» (Positive)
- God lectures, interesting guest lectures and some very good articles.» (Positive)
- This course have unfortunately not been very good. The information that has been shared with the students is nothing new. However, new knowledge was gained during the writing of the term paper, but that was through studying alone/in the group and through interviews, not through teachers and classes.» (Negative)
- The quality of a big part of the term paper presentations can be questioned. Much of the presentations was more waste of time than actually interesting » (Negative)
- I didn"t feel I learned anything new in this course and that there was no incentives to do so. The grade was based on a term paper, which I think I was qualified to do with a good result without taking this course. Hence, the examination did not test any knowledge I might have obtained in this course.» (Negative)
- I personally think that the lectures during the whole course are very redundant and repetitive. There is too much theory and too less practice and examples. I would have liked to have some case studies where you see the different theories in practice in order to have a more in depth understanding. » (Negative)

Goals and Goal Fulfillment

The course PM states the course goals in terms of learning outcomes, i.e. knowledge, skills, and attitudes to be acquired by the students during the course.
Learning Outcome:
The course participants will gain knowledge of strategy and change theories and quality inspired improvement approaches and an in-depth understanding of one more narrow area. They will also have an ability to critically view consultants packaging of change and improvement project offerings.

3. How understandable are the course goals?

50 svarande

I have not seen/ read the goals»2 4%
The goals are difficult to understand»2 4%
The goals give some guidance, but could be clearer»23 46%
The goals clearly describe what I am supposed to learn»23 46%

Genomsnitt: 3.34

- My own fault (wasn"t here that time) but still, could mabe be clearer integrated into the lectures and the paper writing (as an ongoing process) » (I have not seen/ read the goals)
- There are things missing in the course PM that are necessary to fulfill. E.g. the "recommended readings" part in the term paper.» (The goals give some guidance, but could be clearer)
- Could be somewhat more clear regarding the project in the PM. Then the introductory term paper lecture could be dropped or at least postponed until we have started working with the projects.» (The goals give some guidance, but could be clearer)
- I feel that the goals are not really reflecting what have been tought during the lectures, it is more suitable for the cource TEK280.» (The goals give some guidance, but could be clearer)
- The goals are clear, but I do not feel that I have achieved them.» (The goals clearly describe what I am supposed to learn)
- They are clear but repetitive and not so challenging. Giving the fact that it is a master"s course I would have expected something more like case studies. There is too much theory and too less practice and examples. » (The goals clearly describe what I am supposed to learn)

4. Are the goals reasonable considering your background and the number of credits?

Answer this question and the succeeding one only if you do know the course goals.

49 svarande

No, the goals are set too low»2 4%
Yes, the goals seem reasonable»47 95%
No, the goals are set too high»0 0%

Genomsnitt: 1.95

- As a background in Msc program QOM i felt I had suffiient academic background. But I doubt everyone feels the same. This can be mirrored in the mixed quality of a lot of term paper presentations. » (Yes, the goals seem reasonable)
- But it depends on background and how you are interested in management, strategy and quality organizations. I can not speak for everyone. I think i was lucky to have passed an MBA before attend this course. A few literatures were a quite hard to understand because they are very theoritical sometime fused on psychological side (for instance the psychological part in the Gestalt article). But as u say, and i agree, theories are important to better understand how well apply something later.» (Yes, the goals seem reasonable)

5. Did the examination assess whether you have reached the goals?

48 svarande

No, not at all»3 6%
I do not know/ have not been examined yet»7 14%

- The seminars should have been mandatory.» (To some extent)
- Only limited to one aspect of change management. » (To some extent)
- Can"t cover all of it in the term paper.» (To some extent)
- some of the weekly papers and having those three question are not too alliance » (To some extent)
- The term paper tested my knowledge in the area of change management, but I was perfectly able to complete it without using anything I learned in this course.» (To some extent)
- Since the grading is partially based upon the lines from what how much you speak during the seminars I belief that it"s a BAD system. Grades based on the report are fair and reasonable.» (No, not at all)
- The examination is only about a subject we choose for a project so I think it is not enough comparing to what we"ve done during the lessons.» (No, not at all)
- Having a course evaluation before the exam is in my opinion not too smart. In this case it is before the grade is set, since there is no written exam. » (I do not know/ have not been examined yet)

- Well conducted seminars!» (Great extent)
- Especially the general discussion about the questins brought up a lot of new perspectives» (Great extent)
- It was the most interesting part of this course» (Great extent)
- The concept of grading seminar participation sets students under pressure to say something just for their (quantitative) grade. This does not enhance the discussion. In some situations two people held a discussion about a specific question which got them a lot of strikes but which was not really relevant to the rest of the group sitting in the discussion.» (Large extent)

- Most valuable part of the course.» (Great extent)
- Writing the term paper was the only time I really learned something new in the course. » (Great extent)
- Very interesting case, I guess it depends on how theoretical it was. Some seem to have conducted very theoretical cases but I think there is a lot of learning that comes with actually seeing the "case".» (Great extent)
- It was interesting and a good method to learn and understand the theory. also, writing about a specific topic was useful to deepen the knowledge in that field and interviews were held to see if there was a gap between theory and practice» (Great extent)
- It is always interesting to read a paper with some one you never have been working with before. I wrote mine with a German guy and I feel that we have been having a lot of good discussions during the developing process of the paper.» (Great extent)

- Literature seminars, term paper»

- Papers of guest lecturers should not be mandatory reads before having the guest lesson. The guest lessons were therefore often not as interesting and new as they could have been.»
- The workload. 25 hours per week is not enough for this work. »
- The purpose of quest lectures and link them more to the theoretical part of the course.»
- There should be a stronger link between the term paper and the course literature. Maybe the groups need to direct the research in a certain way.»
