9. Comments about teaching and course administration

- Please put stuff in PingPong under the appropriate submenu, not everything under "Content".»
- I think the teacher"s consultancy experience is an obstacle for this course.»
- What teaching ? the whole thing was just an introduction to the sector of eHealth...no teaching...just presentations from people who mostly belong to the "consulting sector" nothing to do with engineering»
- The "professor" did only two lectures, for the rest external people came to have speeches. Very often the teaching content was repetitive and very bad timed (we had an home assignment about HL7, and a month after the lecture about it) and different speechs from different people sometimes (lile 30%o of the time) covered the same material.»
- Some lecture were interesting (surgery simulation) but a lot of topics were repeated in the course, and were more about general knowledge rather than engineering material. I would also have liked to learn more about future technologies in ehealth instead of regulations or swedish projects»

15. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- The project»
- A few guest lecturers. The danish doctor...the Englishman . The home assignment and the report structure »
- The group project is a very nice idea, even though very bad organized»
- Project and different guest lectures»
- BAS and Leif are very good.»
- Individual as well as group assignments and quizzes. What really made one reflect was when performing own studies of different kinds, e.g. the project and the home assignment.»
- Point system, project»
- The home assignment is difficult. »
- possibility to gain points during the course with assignment, project, quizz»

16. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- More practical examples and excercises. It"s nice with guest lectures, but I think it would be more time efficient to have BAS providing all the lectures.»
- I don"t see any reason a consultancy course should be mandatory in an engineering programme. We are asked to write essays and correcting essays can be a rather subjective procedure»
- It could be better if the home assignment is more interesting»
- The connection between lectures is poor. I understand that it is hard to administrate the lecture material when there are so many lecturers, but i got confused from all the different lectures. Perhaps you should have some kind of report writing introdcution for the excange students. Many of there don"t know how to write reports.»
- The whole layout of the course with the guest lecturers. It was the most boring course I have attended in chalmers so far»
- The entire idea of the course: understandable goals, lectures in a logical order, the professor should not work as a consultant for a company but as a professor!»
- Seems that every lecturer starts from that we dont know anything and present the basics »
- There is a lot of overlapping material. You really don"t learn a whole lot.»
- This course is a seminar course and the value of having different grades can therefore be questioned. As this course is a part of a engineering masters programme, focus shall not always be on "how things are performed now", but more on "how do we solve this". It felt like the course mostly focused on how things works out in Sweden today and not what the future might conceal.»
- Less overlapping lectures»
- Home assignment»
- lectures shouldn"t be mandatory, and change some lecture topics»
- I would have liked less lectures about hospital administrations and standards, and more about techniques like the artificial surgery and the solution for stroke patients. that was more interesting. »

17. Additional comments

- No technical information were given at all.I don"t think a whole period should be spent on learing about ehealth challenges. That can be also strengthened by the great overlap between the lectures.I don"t remember how many times we heard about the demographic problem and the NPO.Very swedish oriented as well.I think the course should be revised into a summary of the ehealth track next year.Rather unequal expectations and guidance approaches between the two supervisors.»
- Perhaps you should concider if this course should be mandatory for biomedical students since it feels like no one really want to take it.»
- Even tough the possibilities to speak with the professor were great (at least via email), he doesn"t explain things in a pedagogic way and usually his requirements are not easy to understand. In practice is the different between "talk" and "speech". Moreover, in my opinion an ehealth course should be focused on the technology behind ehealth products, not the general "regulation".»
- The eHealth course does not need to be mandatory.»
- Many lectures are not very intresting, but it is an interesting subject»
- There was too much repetition, almost all guest lecturers started to explain "this is eHealth", the demographic change and the interoperability issues. This time could better be used for interesting discussion. Either the guest lecturers wasn"t aware of how the course was organized and what our home assignment was about or they were not good planning their lecture.»
