- It was hard to see a clear direction of the course and therefore hard to know what to study.» (At most 15 hours/week)

- There were a lot of material. More than what is expected for a 7.5 credit course. Pretty little detailed lectures were given. Lots of materials from wide range of subjects just in colorful power point slide.» (Around 30 hours/week)

- The goals for examination has been a very week part of the course. It took 2 or 3 weeks before we got information presented about what moments was needed (more concrete) to pass the course. The course involves algorithms for image construction but we use a 19 years old book and there has been no small tasks to solve during the course, either in the book or handed out from course leaders (only 1 task was handed out first week). While the course is new there has been no old exams to look at and there has been no example examination presented. The combination of all this makes it very difficult to study to the exam. The information about the projects has also been weak. In a project in a course it is important to know what limitations there is. For example how many pages it should be. The answer "It depends on ambitions" is not a good answer in a course. We have got 5 questions to answer and it is possible to answer them on 1 page but also in 15. » (The goals are difficult to understand)
- They seem to have been changed all the time during the course. Due to lack of clear goals students were even graded on a scale for the midterm exam. This is NOT good!» (The goals are difficult to understand)
- The goals are not clear at all. I don"t understand the meaning of learning mathematical algorithms in detail for a compulsary course. I think it should be an ellective course. - As mentioned, midterm exam did not give any indication of what the goals of the course could be or if the students needed to put more effort into the course or in any specific area of the course.» (I don"t know/have not been examined yet)

- I have a feeling that the teachers that has organized this course have not really decided what should be the goal for the course. » (Small extent)

- All the guest lecturers very good but not the rest. The rest of the lectures had no structure, made focus at wrong things in the course and gave very bad explanations of for examples the signal processing part.» (Some extent)

- The laboratory assignment was good»

10. What is your opinion about the project assignment?

- The project work is ok, but I don"t like that we have presentation two days before the exam. I think it is enough with a project report.»

- I would have wanted to choose the topic myself, because all the subjects were not equally easy/difficult! Otherwise I think you learn much more by writing projects than by reading for the exam... So I would suggest that the grade would come directly from the project and maybe from mid-term exam as well. The work load would be enough also without a final exam!»
- Really defective! Project works were on major subjects and imaging modalities. We students worked a lot on our projects. teacher wanted us to answer to all major questions about the modalities but at the same time wanted us to present our works in just 9 minutes! It was not respectful to students. They scheduled to listen to all presentations in just 2 hours! Lunch time were more important for them maybe!!»

11. What is your opinion about the mid-term exam?

- The questions are not fair. I don"t think that the questions are showing what you know. Some questions were formulated in a way just to trick the students. »

- not good for me at least, because the time was limited and i was sttressful to answer questions,i studied a lot for mid term but result was not fair for me, because i was not familiar with this kind of exams before.i hope final exam will be better for me»

- It should not be a compulsory course. This coure is just for imaging interested students. But the guest lectures are good.» (Poor)
- This course should not be compulsory to detailed into reconstruction of images and signal processing. The rest of the course, the one that the guest lecturers had was interesting but almost all of this we already have had in the Biomedical instrumentation course. Better to have one more elective course or another as compulsory.» (Poor)

- The exam was very hard and to detailed. The part with the yes or no-questions was tricky and bad stated. To many questions in total. And it was very bad that we didn´,t got the grade limits at the exam, even though we asked for it. »

- You could have said more clearly what kind of assignments to expect for the final exam... Not everyone knew that it"s not similar kind of exam than the mid-term exam... And because old exams naturally not were available, it was not easy to know what is important and what is not.»
- I hold the course staff in high regard and I respect them sincerely But I see their work in this course to be somewhat naive.»
