- For me the exam will be give some definition and not show that we understand the supply chain concept using the course on an real industry problem» (No, not at all)
- It is always hard to include everything in exam. The subject is just too wide.» (To some extent)
- Could be more "discussion" questions» (To some extent)
- I believe that the questions in the exam are related to the course goals and somewhat aim at evaluating or covering all the topics addressed during the course. However, I believe that the course is too dense and in order to cover all the material the are needed many questions (6 in total appeared in the exam), and it is impossible to answer all of them in detail whilst providing valuable analysis and a critical opinions in just 4 hours. This is the opposite of the seminars where a full understanding of the topics can indeed be reflected on the report.» (To some extent)
- I am disappointed concerning the exam. The questions covered the relevant topics but the time (4 hours) were not enough at all. The examinator is to expect worse answers and we lower grades due to no time to think an extra time. Also found it strange to separate different ares into many subquestions. Caused unnecessary confusion. » (To some extent)
- Could have covered the articles more. » (To some extent)

Small extent»4 8%
Some extent»11 23%
Large extent»26 55%
Great extent»6 12%

Genomsnitt: 2.72

- The lectures were good but they didn"t provide anything that couldn"t be found in the book. I didn"t feel like the lectures gave me deeper knowledge than the book, it was more like a summary of what facts we had to know. » (Some extent)
- But it will be almost the same as it is writting on the book. It will be interesting to have another point of view with example of application of management» (Large extent)

7. To what extent has the text book been of help for your learning?

- the articles also lead to that direction.» (Great extent)

8. To what extent has the Supply Chain Game been of help for your learning?

- It helped a lot.»
- large extent»
- Good introduction that gave a tangible learning experience.»
- Large Extent»
- Great extent. It gave a good practical sense of SCM and illustrated the existing problems.»
- some extent»
- To a large extent, it is a great way to get a glimpse of a real life situation and put the problem into a context»
- Great extent!»
- It is always valuable with practical examples, it is easier to relate to the literature and lessons. It is a really good learning activity that definitely should be kept. »
- Some»
- It helpt, but most of all fun to do»
- After the lecture regarding "Coordination" and considering the outcomes of the game, it contribute in a large extent to support the learning procedure. However, I would prefer the Lecture of "Coordination in the supply chain" to be performed between the two rounds of the game.»
- Good for the part about bullwhip effect»
- Great extent when it comes to bullwhip effect. And it is fun as well.»
- some extent»
- Small, since I have done a similar thing before. But it was fun, sure! :)»
- I liked the game but I don"t think it"s necessary to do the report. It"s to early and the student can"t see the different improvements to be chosen. And in addition that we had a very high workload, this report could be taken away.»
- understanding the BW-effect»
- Very good! Nice to get some practical illustration of what we are learning from the textbooks.»
- It was very good, especially to just get a "feeling" of how a supply chain works and what type of challenges that can arise in the collaboration over company borders. The supply chain game was always a reference when trying to understand other SCM issues. »
- Liten utsträckning, har redan spelat det i kursen industriell verksamhetsutveckling (om jag minns rätt). »
- Large»
- Good start of the course to wake us up. »
- Little bit, easier to understand»
- Large extent»
- Not so much»
- Understand the concept and the objective to apply SCM on industry (really interesting)»
- To great extent»
- yes it is. it made me feel more clear in terms of supply chain process, rather than ambigous conceptual thing. »
- Great extent, I liked this part»
- Some extent»
- It was useful in the way that it allowed us to clearly sse what the bullwhip effect is»
- It was good!»
- - was a nice ice breaker to get a closer feeling for the topic. For the learning outcome at the end it wasn"t that important.»
- Some Extent»
- To get an better overview what SCM is and what challenges it brings up. »
- The game had a large extent because it really shows the problems in a supply chain. It was very helpful»

Large extent»20 42%

- I like the idea of the seminars. Unfortunately there was low involvement from the teacher. Did not support the discussion and it seems like all groups had different "right" answers. More support from the teacher since the discussion between students only takes place already while preparing the report. » (Small extent)
- The seminars would have given me more if Ola had coached the discussions more. Now we didn"t know if we were reasoning in the right way or if there were any key points that we should understand. I also got the feeling that different groups got different "solutions" from the seminars.» (Small extent)
- Problem is that when making the questions it became that for example Q1 and Q2 you could read only 2 of 3 texts, which didnt give you all the knowledge you needed. If making the seminars and doing questions one by one, it would be easier to learn more» (Some extent)
- But the seminars should be a little more structured and managed by the teacher. So for instance the time is well distributed because sometimes we didn"t have time to discuss all questions.» (Large extent)
- Mycket bra.Hade vart ännu bättre om grupperna delats i två, kanske t.o.m tre mindre grupper för mer flödande diskussion och större deltagande. Svårt att genomföra logistiskt måhända, men ändå önskvärt!» (Large extent)
- With the seminars the contact to the literature was closer.» (Large extent)
- The use of seminars is a great way to learn and keep the continuity throughout the course» (Great extent)
- Useful because it can help us to clarify some points that maybe we don"t understand well.» (Great extent)
- they are very helpful in preparation for exams.» (Great extent)

- Good combination of book and articles. They felt like the complemented each other.» (Large extent)
- SOme articles better than the other. The more interesting article and hence seminar was the analysis of the Barilla case.» (Large extent)
- Most of them were very good and gave a more diversified picture to the topics. Especially in combination with the book since it created more analysis than reading only the book. » (Large extent)
- We can see what is really made in the industry.» (Large extent)

- I think that we got the seminar groups quite late every week, which was bad. Hard to plan in advance.» (Rather well)
- The administration from Ola"s part has been good, but it is the student portal that has been difficult to enter from time to time. Chalmers shoudl adress this issue as it has been apparent the last couple of years, strange as Chalmers is supposed to be a leading school within technology.» (Rather well)
- It was quite annoying that the sign up for seminars and games appeared on the page randomly and usually on rather short notice. It made it harder to plan your time.» (Rather well)

I did not seek cooperation»0 0%

Genomsnitt: 3.72

- I have to be honest, the different level of knowledge and experience in school make it very hard to work together in a smooth way. One big issue is the language barrier, I suggest to have some kind of english test before school starts. Much more work are put on the other person or the other students in the case of Host company case. Not a fair situation. » (Rather well)
- when working with fellow students that yourself could choose, the work has went out well. But when working in groups that you can"t choose the members where all have different goals can sometimes make it hard to work together. Too many group exercises!!!» (Very well)
- Great idea to make different groups without the possibility to choose» (Very well)

High»22 46%
Too high»6 12%

Genomsnitt: 3.7

- Lot of reading» (High)
- Well the combination of all three courses has a very high workload. » (Too high)
- To high to be 6points.. Chalmers has the most strange workload system that I ever has seen. Comparing chalmers to other schools and at chalmers you do more than twice as much as in for example the business school in gothenburg for the same credits.» (Too high)
- i didn"t have any spare time at all during these 2 months!!!» (Too high)

- I was very excited to a start but along the course my interest went down due to poor support from teacher in assignments/seminars. Important course but due to the heavy work load during the first semester, it was hard to cope and make the most out of it. » (Adequate)
- Ola did a good job! Well executed course!» (Good)
- i liked the course, it was interesting. But i don"t think the examinator gave a very good inspiration. Just followed the slides very much, no much energy when teaching...» (Good)
- It is a good introduction to SCM.» (Good)
- I"m able to understand the importance of a good and efficient supply chain» (Good)

15. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- The game and the articles.»
- the SC game maybe more of them the seminars»
- The combination of books and articles together err with seminars.»
- Seminars, SC Game»
- SC Game and seminar approach where students could discuss different subjects.»
- the seminars»
- the seminars»
- The seminars and the teacher.»
- Seminars SCM-game Structure of lessons»
- All»
- Everything»
- The seminar idea. Supply game. »
- the seminar»
- seminars»
- Beer game and seminars»
- SCM-game, seminars.»
- Seminars!»
- ola»
- Structure of course with seminars included. BUT, with higher level of teacher support and guidance. Would also suggest same pair during the course to ease coordination. »
- The seminars and the beer game»
- Th egame and seminars»
- a seminar about case study»
- Seminars»
- The seminars»
- - seminar tasks and monday meetings - additional articles»
- seminars»
- The seminars»

16. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- the host company seminar, maybe it can be in smaller groups the seminar groups could be smaller»
- Hard to tell, but maybe integrate some activities to the luctures. Like showing illustrative video material.»
- Seminar groups should be announced earlier.»
- I however think that the workload related to the seminars was too high, as it took alot of effort to coordinate with the assigned seminar partner, who on many occasions did not live up to expectations. It is too many groups to coordinate between the three different courses. It feels like more effort is put into the coordination of all the different groups and partners than into actually solving the tasks...»
- The exam could be consist of some bigger, case-like questions»
- The time period of performing the game (the lecture of "Coordination" should be involved somehow).»
- Workload, to much to do. the workload on the semester is not comparable to the number of points you have.»
- The final exam. I would suggest either a mid-term evaluation to cover part of the course or another possibility could be to have home exams individual for each student, combined with an opposition of the exam in order to really check the learning of the student.»
- less group exercises. Or at least use the same group for more than one exercise.»
- We have a great opportunity of learning about SCM questions in the context of other countries in the world from our fellow classmates that have come to Sweden on exchange studies. I think it would be valuable to discuss on a more "international" level when we have people from India, China, Germany and so on. One example is that one of the group works could be a presentation of a certain SCM topic that is of special interest in the country you are coming from. This would enhance the learning of other contexts and also be a lot of fun for all students in the class. »
- Work load during the semester. Was an awful first study period with this course, purchasing and term paper. The assignments did not really clash into each other but to many groups to coordinate. »
- The seminars. As they were this year I felt that was what provided me with the least knowledge. I guess they made me read all the literature but I would hopefully have done that anyway.. »
- I think the course is great as it is»
- i don"t know well»
- nothing»
- - maybe a company visit to get in touch with the practical part of Supply Chain Management - upload the slides a bit earlier»

17. Additional comments

- I really enjoyed the course and I am thankful for the new knowledge that I gained.»
- In general for the Supply Chain Management program I think that some kind of english test should be conducted in order to apply for the program. My view is that the english skills are sometimes deficient for some of the students and this results in a lot of extra work for other group members.»
- I would prefer some additional (optional) lecture(s), in the beginning of the course, regarding basic terms of Logistics which are related to the course and which would be really helpful to follow the sequence of the basic Lectures. »
- Great course and a good start of the SCM program!»
- I experienced the communication between the different teachers to be poor poor. Everyone kind of expected the other one to inform. »
- i have no any extra comments»
