- The labs were good but there should have been a follow up after each lab. We spent a few hours on each lab and a follow up would have helped to understand much more. I believe most of us made at least one error in the labs and I never learned what was wrong in my labs. A follow up with plots and comments why we got the results we did would have helped. The comment “,Figure x looks fishy”,, only tells me that it is wrong and that is not enough. To help us understand all that Lars intended with the labs we need a summary with comments to all the labs.» (Some extent)

- The course is good but the different “,parts”, of the course were never tied together. I have a lot of pieces of knowledge but not the whole picture. Exercises and solving problems is one way to use all the parts we have discussed and make us understand more how it is tied together. » (Adequate)

30. Additional comments

- I strongly recommend the book " Principles of Data Conversion System design" to considered for next year provided the plan is to introduce more circuits. Simulink can work perfect in parallel with Cadence or other circuit simulator. I strongly recommend the op-amp designed in analog design course would be utilized in this course to bridge between these two courses. In the otherworld the specification of op-amp in analog design could be altered somehow that can be used in this course i.e. design a pipelined A/D.»

- It is unfair to change the rules the day before the exam. Lars informed us that he had decided to have an open-book exam one week before the exam and he said that we could bring books, lab reports, lab PM and lecture slides etc. The day before the exam we were told that we could only bring one book, errata sheets to Maloberti and the lab PM.»
