- The Course PM only described what the course would be about, without any stated goals for the students. Also, it says in the course PM that we were about to do a project work and go on excursions - neither of them were carried out!» (I have not seen/read the goals)

- Rather uninspiring literature.» (Some extent)
- It wasnt exactely the same as we were talking about in the lectures so I think it was good for understanding, but there was a lot of pages to read and a big effort for not being completely relevant to pass the course so I think you should tell ppl to not get stuck och detals but just read it for understanding the concept of things.» (Some extent)

- From the start we got the wrong information (upon literature, lecture class rooms, schedules etc.) and all material that we expected to get during the course took too much time, which made it hard to be able to prepare in time for the exercises.» (Very badly)
- I would prefer to use GUL in the future. It mas a bit messy like this.» (Rather badly)
- i think it was difficult to share stuff for two Universities. However Göran made his best so it worked!» (Rather well)

- I would have preferred to have an exercise in which we produced an EIA for a project (like a case study). Although I learned some basics it would have been nice to expand upon it somewhat.» (Fair)
- It a good course over all, but sometimes it had its flaws.» (Adequate)

15. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- have a project and conduct an EIA instead of an exam!»
- - excercises and discussions»
- Better exercise and be more specific, a better kommunication, better exercises and the litterature seminaries could have been better if we were in small groups and had the theacher at hand for about a hour to discuss, not lik it was now, when we discussed 4 personen and the told the anwser for the whole class.»
- I guess EIA is an important tool in assessing different projects and that a course on this subject should be available. However, in this format I would not recommend anyone to take it.»
- The literature seminars with the questionnaires»
- the book»
- discussion seminars, but perhaps with more defined questions that you need to discuss in group rather that own questions. Which I found was not really contribute to my understanding thou they were irrelevant »
- Analysis/review on EIA report.»
- Form of seminars have been very good (discussion).»
- Red List discussion.»
- seminars.»

16. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- have a project instaed of an exam, so we really know what an EIA look like....»
- - the lectures could be designged in a more "interesting" way and the pace during the lectures can be drastically increased»
- Streucture, handing out the course syllabus states, better structer for the seminars.»
- EIA is a practical method that should include a practical project work. It felt ridiculous to only read and discuss literature and theory, without even performing an EIA. No exam should be needed. Rather a big project work, divided into smaller parts and compulsory seminars upon each phase of the EIA carried out. It would also be interesting to have lectures upon real EIAs - eg. people from the "real world" telling about their experience of working with EIA (not only theory upon British EIAs).»
- maybe too many project group»
- Course homepage. There were non which was really disturbing.»
- -Exercise with Leopold matrix was based on small-scale projects, it was hard to work with. -Sometimes it was hard to understand requirements for exercises, it has lead to misinterpretations of tasks during group works.»
- I think it was a bit to much work in groups, sometimes different one. It was not easy to communicate since we are from different universities. »
- More concrete assessment skills/tools.»
- Use GUL, more structure in lectures. Tell ppl to ask questions on the seminars from the lectures also, not just the book. reduce the amount of excercises or make them smaller.»

17. Additional comments

- The English language is a big barrier between the teachers and what they are trying to communicate. Here, GU must take its responsability and back them up. »
- and the end of the course i think to have understand what is the environmental impact assessment»
