14. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- Gunnar and Andreas for being, frankly, totally awesome at lectures + for helping out with problems and questions at off hours. Also "known and unknown sample". The task was just difficult enough. You had a lot of trouble solving it and had to think long and hard, go through the course book several times, before you found the right pussle peices and solve it. I learned loads from just ruling out different ideas and more from finnaly solving it! »

- The literature study assignment was very interesting and a good insight to the uses of spectroscopy, so this should definitely be preserved. »

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Mass Spectroscopy in general should try and work on its manners and stop harrassing students (I think I saw a boy in my class cry after the first MS problem lecture, seriously!). MS need to chill and try be more lax. »
- A better organized exam. The questions were very good. However, it didn"t say how much points some of the questions gave. The points to pass and full mark that were given on the first page of the exam didn"t correspond to the actual full mark. It stated that full mark was 54 p. But the theory part contained 44 p ( and then I"m not including the two questions in the theory part that didn"t say how many points they gave). This would mean that part B and the two questions in part A would give a maximum of 10 p. This seams very unlikely since you (according to the first page) needed 9 points to pass part B. Then there also should be informative texts on part B that states what you are supposed to do. On this exam you just got a bunch of spectrum without any information. The spectrum should be clearly marked so that you know which spectra corresponds to which assignment. It should also be stated how much points each question gives. It is extremely bad that you don"t know the correct amount of points you need to pass the exam.»
- The lecture plan, it was hard with all the spectras during class, maybe it could be easier with a ppt that actually marked the differencies and so on»

- It is a pity that the exam was so poorly executed when the rest of the course has been so well organized and pedagogical.»
