- Very hard to understand the session that focus on statistic when i dont have any basic knowledge of the subject. Could have been good for me to have had one session before the chalmers students with two days of more basic lesson i statistic.» (Yes, the goals seem reasonable)

- Too many questions regarding DoE! What about everything else? And also, Imho: questions were made to confuse the students, not test their skills. (Eg using double-negatives etc)» (No, not at all)

- Report evaluation is excellent tool for the grading. The multiple choice exam was very frustrating because most of my errors were not due to lack of knowledge, but due to misunderstanding the Q/As. Some of this was my own problem, some were unclear text from my opinion. » (To some extent)

- Web page worked well, but not the administration regarding dates for hand-in, content in report, content for opposition and presentation.» (Very badly)
- As a working participnat were i have to schedule my work for weeks ahed it is very bad when paper and information is sent to you on the evening that you need next day!!» (Rather badly)

- It is very hard to find time to work together , and it also here like we live in two time worlds. That is the most stressing for us as companies representatives. » (Rather well)
- It is difficult for the students when they don`t speak Swedish when we go out in the activities and for example interviewing staff. » (Rather well)
- Student cooperation has been good, the lacking parts have been towards the company, who either showed little to no interest of helping out or contributing to progress or wasn"t fit to do this extra work and host the project to begin with.» (Rather well)

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- There should be a "correct" course-pm, referring to exam date, date for hand in, contents of report and presentation. There should be clear guidelines for what should be included in the report. There should be an introduction cours for te company representatives. It is too much repetition for the QOM students. »
- Multiple choice exams is not something I"m a big fan of, would rather take a regular exam»

- The DoE professor did not really speak about the interesting things. I think the interesting part is to learn what to think about on the data you put into minitab or whatever program, and how to interpre the results. Not what happens in the middle Many of the lecture fells boring since they do not fit to each other, or maybe they do but I did not understand??»

- I think many of the industrial representatives are very poor on statistics. Being an old man, I did my statistics many years ago and tried to catch up. Conclusion: An optional class (say 4-8hrs) in the very beginning on basic statistics relevant for TEK170 could give even higher benefits. Alternative: List prerequisites. People lacking these could be encouraged to read a summary document you guys could outline, or refer to "Statistics for Dummies" or similar»

- better theoretical structure, since it is a course, it should have been clearer what is expected in each of the DMAIC phase. Better and earlier discussion about the report of the project since it ways eavily in the final grade.»
- An even earlier start for the industry participants to be able to start the project when the students are connecting. The importance of managers prticipation at the first session»
- The session in the improve pahse (DOE)with prof.T.N Goh, was on too high level. The lesson by Peter with practical actions was more understandable. »

- it is very complex and iterative in real life. The course could be more clearly layed out in order to make the stucture of the course more easy to follow. have checkpoints/small reports at end of each phase.»

- Don"t force the industrial participants to participate on lessons that won"t contribute to learning. Many of the lessons were, unfortunately, just sitting out time and not very giving. The same regards the students, many lessons didn"t contribute (at all) to learning. The content is very good but can in many cases be compromised from 8 to 4 hours!»
- Stricter requirements from the participating companies and their representatives.»
- Do not allocate international students for medical cases. The language used in hosipital is Swedish, thus international students could not participate in interviews and some meetings.Alsoa lot of time is used just for translating stuffs, this is a waste of workload.»

16. Additional comments

- Teachers should be more synchronised regarding decisions. There have been many different opinions regarding content of report and opposition, dates for hand-in of report and how big part of the grade that comes from the report. Administration say one thing, and the differen teachers says other things. »
- Secure that industrial participants have the needed time resources. Course is really extensive.»
- The cooperation with the companies are extremely important. The first session together with company managers, was very good.»
- nine group members was hopeless.»
- More teaching on what to think of when using the tools. How to use them we can mostly find out ourselves. Maybe there could be a case that the tools could be applied in throughout the course to make them easier to get to know. Now we know a lot about islands in the SixSigma sea, instead of understanding the sea and put the tools in it.»
