Goals and goal fulfilment

The course syllabus states the course goals in terms of learning outcomes, i.e., knowledge, skills and attitudes to be acquired by the student during the course. More specifically the course goals were expressed as:

To provide knowledge of, and training in, methods and skills used in research and investigations.

To enable students to choose between alternative techniques to collect and process data and to evaluate the trustworthiness of research data and analyses.

To improve the students" ability to present research results.

At the end of the course the student should be able to prepare a brief for a research project and to evaluate and decide on methods for a master"s thesis.

- The action research lecturer was unprepared only had basically a small condensed six sigma course upon how to interpret statistics and general lean/six sigma in healthcare promotions. There was basically NOTHING on actual action research.» (Small extent)

- Action Research lecturer.»
- Remove the exam since research methodology is mainly a practical subject that should be examined through the usage of the methods and showing the ability to activly choose between different designs and methods. »
- The lectures could be shorter and in a faster pace(e.g. not the entire morning/evening)....more people might come more often.»

- I think it is a quite heavy course. Maybe it could be splitted into smaller parts and put into other courses. I really like the MTP though, som maybe it is not feasible.»
- Overall a very useful course.»

- Yes I would recommend it but not to another master student since this should have been presented earlier within the education. It seems borderline idiotic not to have read this course prior to the bachelor thesis. » (Yes)
