- Hhis course had: some weeks 16 hours in schedule, other 8. very complex and time consuming desing task, with almost no feedback. FEM exercise, which was badly organised and most of the time I didn"t know what I am supposed to deliver. 5 hour exam with lot of calculations (99.9% possibility to make calculator mistake) » (No, the goals are set too high)

- the possibility for asking in general was good, but i expected a feedback for the first design task hand in» (Rather poor)
- Not very helping attitude from Robert mainly.» (Rather poor)
- There were often a long line for help after the lectures.» (Rather poor)

- We diden"t get a single line of response on the report. Neither the half time hand in or the final.» (Rather poor)
- Teachers always helped and tried their best to answer. Even though sometimes they disagreed among themselves.» (Rather good)
- They reserved a lot of time. Unfortunately a small group of the class took a lot of this time, both breaks and consultations and if you didn"t manage to get to the teachers before them you didn"t really have a chance. I wish that the teachers would have spread their time more. » (Rather good)

- Some time consuming moments in the project that didn"t add any understanding (e.g. calculating purlins). No chance at all to have time with the home exercises, don"t think anybody has done a single one.» (more than 80%)

- The design task took a lot of time, especially the design of different connections. Skip the design of some of them, just ask for the design load which is the tricky part. » (Too high)

- There was to many parts on the project, so you did not have time to learn or do the parts correctly»
- organisation of the design task and Abaqus exercise. Make the goals of these more clear.»

- Less time consuming exam, focus on the understanding. »
- * The teory-questions should be gone throught during the lectures. * Make it alowed to write some stuf in the allowed aids on the exam, it is much to keep in mind. »
- Either all students should be able to choose groups for the design task themself, or none. Now it was said that you could not change groups but still some students were allowed. This makes the conditions unfare. The instructions to the design task must be clearer. The different teachers should collaborate better because now you got different answers regarding the design task depending on who you asked. »
- two computer rooms for the FEM»
- The FE-model of the SSP took more time then necessary due to wrong info about the symmetry b.c. and that time was needed in the other project. So better info on the FE-task»
- Maybe some studytrip to see building process and connections, hard to design without the practical knowledge!»
- More space if we should do Abaqus. Better book. »
- Ask reports of the student that you can actually go through. We did not get a single word feed back on the report.»
