- Lack of information regarding eg. projects, exam answers.» (Very badly)
- It was not clear what was mandatory and what was optional, eg the document called "assignement 1". It was not clear which tutorial would be adressed on the next lab-time, so I did not know which one to prepare for.» (Rather badly)
- I"ve still not gotten any resopons on the labs.» (Rather badly)
- we need more tutorials or exercise lectures. and maybe that can be done by teaching assistants» (Very well)

14. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- The practical part should be preserved»
- more practicals for the things of the lectures»
- Tutorials and practicals were very good. »
- The labs, they where very positive for my learning»
- teachers»
- The labs.»
- The course plan»
- 4 labs are really good»
- The practical nature of the course.»
- The laborations.»
- the labs are good»
- Course content is great and guest lectures are nice.»
- too many topics was teached during the lectures»
- The labs»
- Labs, projects and guest lectures»
- the computer labs»
- The laborations was fun and you learned a lot from them.»
- Andrew»
- the teachers and the labs»
- Image analysis is a broad field ,trying to cover all the things there is in 7 weeks time is not a smart move from what I felt and also from what I understood from fellow classmates.»
- Most of it, especially the lectures were very good.»
- the lab exercise and the project»
- Good organisation with lecture handouts and other materials usually before lectures. »

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Too many problems in the exam, we all don"t have enough time to solve the questions. And the points to pass should be lower.»
- Two lecturer, each providing high amount of material separately without thinking about the performance of students. it is quite impossible to follow the course because too much workload and during the lectures you can not understand the subject properly for two reason 1: language problem 2: another lecturer provide too much material that you can keep up with the course. even himself can not finish his slides during the lecture.»
- Only two matlab laborations and one project OR four Matlab laborations»
- The exam!»
- The exam»
- the exam questions are incomparable to the time allotted. each question required lot of time but the points given to each questions are not fair. for instance, you need more time to solve a question for 2 or 1 point. »
- need some TAs»
- The lectures are basically long monologues. Most students understand more by just reading in the book. Change focus on the slides to summarize more.»
- book»
- the exam is hard to get 5.it should be easier.»
- The exam policy. The exercises required in the exam were too much, not too difficult, but was too much for only 4 hours. Definitely this should be not repeated, because it was impossible to solve everything perfect in 4 hours. »
- teaching method»
- The exam, it was too long. Couldn"t finish all tasks.»
- Andrew should now that we are not PHD students!!!»
- The two-lecturers approach. Both for lectures and exam. It felt like two separate courses since the lecturers" approaches were different, one heavily theoretical and one heavily practical. Asking me, you should choose one approach, or scale them down and integrate them better into each other.»
- The exam. The first question on the exam took me 2,5 hours. And it gave only 15 points!! It was not because the questions was hard, but they needed time. I think I just had time to answer half of the questions. It was the same for everyone.»
- Andrew must talk slower and don"t have so much PP-slides!»
- the exam allowed materials, why should you have to print a 1000 pages of lectures. »
- The course would gain from clearer administration. »
- 4 lab and 1 project was so much homework , and exam in comparing with past exam was difficult , I solved all 12 sample exam but really i didnot think i get good result in exam . »
- I think the math tutorials are on a too low level, put the focus on the algorithms instead of at addition (in cases of mean filtering for example) or basic math like what you get if you put one mathematical expression inside another one. It is both too simple, and not what the focus of the course should be. At lectures that is also something Artur needs to consider, not to put to much time in stuff like addition. And Andrew need to be more aware of the time, that if you know that you will run out of time, it"s not a good idea to just try to talk fast but you have to decide to skip some parts that you want to talk through. Other than this, I think both Andrew and Artur are very nice lecturers.»
- Lessen the workload»
- The exam was too long. Either extend it to 5h or decrease the work load. However the questions were good.»
- The amount of different subjects in the course. They are too many. It would be crucial if the teacher solves exercises during the quarter in the class»
- Everything ,If a student is made to understand some topics rather than jumping from topic to topic just to cover it all ,I would say the student will be capable of understanding even the more advanced concepts rather clearly by reading by himself.»
- The exam. With all the workload we had with the labs and the project, the exam felt unnecessary and was a too short time frame for studying for it. Either skip some of the labs, or have a larger project and skip the exam.»
- the project can be more percentage in the final score.»
- Too much lecture material. Hard to understand what was important to the examination. I learnt most when looking at old exams. Boring lectures when starting with and most giving mathematical equations and not giving visible hands on results and applications. I would also appreciate parables and tricks to use to understand the algorithms better. »

16. Additional comments

- exam consisted of problems that were each special, and not standard ones, exam-questions of math. morphology gave too less points in comparisn to the workload»
- Exam: Very diffucult, not enough time. Something special with every problem. Andrews question part was just added on the "normal" exam from earlier years without getting any more points than before. Guest lecture power points were not in the homepage.»
- I Thought I knew about the contents of the exam very well. BUT, the exam was waaaay to heavy. It wasnt that hard, but given the time, it was impossible to do al questions. Cut it down by a third, then it would be ok. Arturs part was good, but given Andrews questions and you compare the effort they take versus the points, its rather impossible to do them all. I regret a lot, now after the exam, that I focused so much time on his questions..»
- just TAs»
- The exam was too big. Also, allowing people to bring all 1000 lecture slides is a bit cumbersome. The exam should discuss what"s in the book. Not in lecture x, slide 14.»
- the exam was absolutely inappropriate and too long»
- I don"t have any. »
- Arthur"s lectures are sometimes a bit slow and Andrew"s a bit stressed. The exam was huge and the points awarded for each task was unevenly distributed compare to the time required to solve them. »
- Andrew is too much strict and try to cover too many things, hane no sense about time and expect too much from students! »
- the final written exam was really long, tough and need too much time.. 4 Hours are not enough. 4 hours was enough just for the first question.. Hope that you can see and check the written exam again and rearrange it.. and thank you ...»
- Didn"t have time for all the questions on the exam. It was very comprehensive. »
- The labs took alot more time then the three hours in the schedule. I think they were the best thing in the course, but just so that you are aware of that.»
- Arthurs lectures were slow and at times not very good I have to say...»
- The teacher should watch the time limit each time, a lot of time he went over the scheduled time. »
- I recommend some teaching policies should be shared from other countries with high service giving standards as Sweden.»
- the time for the final exam is not enough.»
- The book felt like an unnecessary investment to pass the course.»
- The number of tasks on the exam was much higher than on the old exams, hard to finish in 4 hours.»
