- Did not use the course book. » (Some extent)
- Advanced vehicle.. is a good book, but not included in the course in any higher extent. Which doesn"t matter because the course was good any way and we had good course material. Just inform that the book maybe is recomended reading instead of a course book.» (Some extent)
- The book wasn´,t so helpful but the lecture notes were great.» (Large extent)
- I didn"t buy the book because of the costs but I think that a good preparation was also possible by using the lecture notes.» (Large extent)

Please comment on the different lecturers and the subjects

Matrisfråga

- Change Bengt Jacobsson as teacher for this part! You see the results of his teaching/lectures in the exam (no. 4). The poor performance of all students is caused by him having no structure and unfortunately no competence. »
- Anders Hedman is one of the best lecturers I have ever had.»
- The differential lecture was a bit confusing. Could be clearer.»
- Differentials, AWD, and AWD clutches was not clear. It was very hard to learn or understand.»

- Amazing Guest lectures from Volvo cars, Volvo powertrain, Volvo trucks and Saab cars. One of my best lectures in Chalmers. It was very practical learning and slides were tailor made.» (Large extent)

8. What did you think about the assignments

Please comment on the different assignments and their relevance to the course

Matrisfråga

- I liked the deep dive topics (valve spring dimension) more than the general design of the concept design of the transmission. Especially, it is nice to work on some stuff that requires more than the usual (simple) mathematics and mechanic knowledge. So I would prefer less but more difficult tasks over a lot but easy tasks. In my opinion it is more motivating to work on challenging tasks instead of working on a lot of more or less simple tasks. »
- The work load at all three assignments is high. Perhaps you should think about some extra points which can be used to improve the exam grade. »
- Very challenging. Thanks to Gunnar Latz for his tremendous support.»

- The course was a very good complement to the courses that I already took in Germany. The focus was quote different but I"m happy about that because of this reason I still learned a lot (especially about automatic transmission). Since all of the students are going to be engineers it would nice to have a little bit more equations on some topics since it is better for the general understanding (for example by seeing all the input variables) and also the students are able to estimate the effects on the output if the variables are changed.» (Good)
- One of my best lectures in Chalmers. Thanks to the team members for great efforts.» (Excellent)

15. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- The balancing of the engines is very important, especially when it comes to downsizing. In my opinion it could be worth it to give at least one more lecture about it.»
- Assignments and Guest lectures»

16. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- I know the hybrid-topic is very important but the lecture was a little bit too general. Maybe there is the chance to put a little bit more details or current problems (for examples safety/ comfort problems) in the lecutre notes.»
- Giving the lecture of differentials to Anders Hedman or Jan Andersson. They had the best structure and way to teach. But absolutely change Bengt Jacobsson!»
- The differential lecture. Maybe more exercises on differentials. »
- Bengt Jacobssons lectures and exam question!!! »
- Differentials, AWD, and AWD clutches portion»

17. Additional comments

- Highly satisfied customer. Thanks to Chalmers. Got a successful career in Powertrain.»
