- My opinion is that the examination was at a too low level. It cannot be judged whether I have reached the course goals by only grading my achievement on the final assignment.» (No, not at all)
- I think that it will be very difficult to examine this course, because we have done so few assignments.» (To some extent)
- But I think many people in the class could have done a lot more than they did during their final presentation! Also, the products given were a bit "uneven", the moped had dozens of materials whereas the coffeemaker could be changed just changing surface material.» (To some extent)

- Some of the lectures felt irrelevant as they mostly consisted of advertisement for the company that held it.» (Some extent)
- Some lectures were unnecessary since you already knew about the manufacturing methods and materials. The lectures regarding plastics (three in number) were lengthy and not well prepared (external lecturer). These lectures were to a large extent based on showing youtube clips... I believe these three lectures could be compressed into one lecture. » (Some extent)

- The litterature didn"t offer much of an informational basis for the final assignment. » (Some extent)
- Good information in the material database in the book, but the same information was available on the internet. But good to have to book. Overview for the future. The first part of the book was not so good. Not our level. Maybe for year one, ingenjörsmetodik or something...» (Some extent)

- I think that we could ask some questions to the lecturers, but I think that very few of us did that. It could have been good to do the final exercise in groups, and then let these lecturers leave some comments on the work.» (Rather poor)

- I feel that in this stage of the education there would be a higher load and requirements of what you should achieve.» (Too low)
- would have loved to see more hand-ins or groupd discussions. We had a very low workload for a course with such great potential. Would have loved to, for example, more discuss about how objects are made in groups "this is a wall plugg, how do you think it was manufactured?" etc. Small workshops like that, which would not add your workload too much, or at all, but would still be very beneficial to us!» (Too low)

- It feels like the idea of the course is very good but that it fail in its execution. The examination did not reach a high enough level.» (Poor)
- Too little to do, I did not learn much. The Jessica Dagman assignment was good but I would have liked to get more feedback on it. » (Fair)
- The course has a really, really great potential. I think if you develop it until next year, it can be an excellent course, it just has some "teething problems" and I think that is why a lot of people didn"t like it. At the current state, it seems a bit.. unserious I guess.» (Adequate)

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- The assignments should be more challenging and require more work. The final assignment was not adequate. To only do 2 posters and 1 A4 of comments didn"t require almost any insight into manufacturing methods or any effort to do them. MORE IS NEEDED!»
- Kursen borde verkligen inte vara obligatorisk och det borde finnas en mer genomtänkt idé med varför vi läser den. Känns som att man lärt sig väldigt lite och att det finns utrymme för ändlösa förbättringar, en av de sämsta kurserna jag läst. Tittar man på kursen som helhet känns en vecka som en lagom storlek på kursen. Betygsättningen antar jag sker genom lottdragning för det finns inget utrymme för att prestera eller något djup i kursen att visa.»
- One should ealuate which guest lectures are actually neccessary and which most of the students have heard before.»

- I would like to add some type of discussion session where you have a product/concept (e.g. just a sketch) and discuss how this could be manufactured and what material(s) could be used (in addition to the Assignment 1, but earlier in the course). I believe this would further enhance the students" ability to analyse and choose adequate manufacturing methods and materials. I would also like that more focus is put upon the process of selecting manuf. meth./materials as this is more or less just to be read about in the course literature. A lecture regarding different approaches for this would be great!»

- More relevant lectures. A more fair last assignment, this one was to small to differ the grades 3-5 (and U)»
- The lecturers. They didn"t gave the information that I wanted to know. Not at all. The most interesting lecturer was the guy with all the plastic parts, but he was too slow.»

- Too few assignments. The lectures did not give as much as I hoped. Three lectures with the guy showing examples of plastic components was too much. The last assignment did not feel like an examination worthy a Master program. I learned something but I think the examination should include much more than 1-2 posters and 1-2 A4 pages with comments... »

16. Additional comments

- I belive this requires more effort from the lecturers and examinor to be atleast good. I am not happy with the course.»
- The course should not be mandatory for student that have read the three previous years at TD. It was difficult to know how thourough one should be as the hand-ins and presentations had to be so short.»
- This is a good course, because we need it. But maybe it was difficult for the lecturers to find the right information. I think that it would have been interesting to ask everyone in the class what they have learned, and what they want to learn, and form the course for the next year out of that. Like to give the lecturers some important questions so that they know what we are interested in. »
- This course"s pupose is good but unfortunately the lectures do not teach very much new knowledge.»

- I like the idea of having a course like this one, but it needs to be changed! Maybe the lecturers can give more examples of why certain products have been "given" a specific material and manufacturing method... It would be good to have exercises on how and what to apply to chosen products...»
