- Regarding GSPN, only the half of one lecture session was allocated to provide the students with its basic concepts and a few exercise problems were solved by the course TA. However in the exam a 12-point question was asked dealing with GSPN and developing an extended reachability graph. In my opinion the amount of dedicated time and the exam question points are not balanced. » (To some extent)
- Basing myself on this exam and past exams, some questions really concerned details of the course, like definitions and standards, etc. I agree that it is important to have them in mind, but maybe the level of details required is too important considering the amount of terminology to learn.» (Yes, definitely)

- I didn"t ask that many questions and when I did, it was during the exercise sessions during the pauses. - (1) Homepage should be easier to navigate (2) Maybe some separate time for personal consultation »
- Nothing significant that I can think of.»
- - maybe a little bit less reading for the exam - the reading instructions could be clearer. I think most people are interested in the amount of reading that is important for the exam. By looking at the old exams I had the feeling that sometimes casual reading was more than enough and sometimes careful reading was required to be able to answer the exam questions.»
- Nothing.»
- nothing»
- It would be great if there is a short presentation for how to register for group and book the labs.»
- Day time means < 5pm. Lab reports should be done individually.»
- number of students! there were many people in class»

16. Additional comments

- I"m surprised how many ignorant questions student can ask. Very many question are of the kind "will this be on this exam. do I need to know exactly this fact". Takes a lot of time from the lecture. Also, students tend to ask "stupid" questions about things they would know if they listened 10mins before. Feels like many students skip to listen, waits for a sum-up where the teacher tells them exactly what they should write on the exam... (Btw, there is only one safety-switch on my microwave owen... (SP))»
- Nice course, well done!»
- I like this course a lot!»
- About the descriptive problems, there was some miss understandings about the descriptions due to lack of english, and that was both was both ways. Both from student, and teachers. I think thats because neither are natives. on top of that, you need to master a language and be a good writer to precise description witch will not have any second, shadow meaning. So maybe some help with that for next year.»
- Negin deserves credit for putting up with a large class with many questions during the exercises. Sometimes there were too many questions asked which can be hard to limit. One idea would be to schedule an hour or two per week for students who have several individual questions. Otherwise it worked very good.»
- I really liked the course. Especially the analysis of reliability, availability and safety.»
- I didn"t quite get the hardware standards part, maybe can give more example on that.»
- Course is really good. Prof Johan lectures were very Good. TA Negin helped a lot in solving problems.»
