- I think the problem was that the students did not prepare themselves before the sections. Therefore, it was slow and boring becusae the teacher had to explain every detail.» (At most 15 hours/week)
- Reading the material before the class helps to some extent, but then, one ends up spending more time in trying to understand how the next step in the proof is achieved. As the "Lecture Notes/book" used in this course is very crisp. Hence, one ends up spending more time. On the contrary, going to the class and then reading the Gammal"s lecture notes/slides, makes learning easier.» (At least 35 hours/week)

- The lectures given by the instructor is very helpful for understanding the lecture notes.»

- The way (a combination of ppt slides and whiteboard writing) in which the lectures were given is very good.»

14. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Maybe use a book instead of lecture note next year.»
- If the recommended book is available,it would be better than just reading the lecture notes.»
- Some lectures were given in a faster pace than it should have been. Maybe twice 2-hour-lecture per week is needed. More interactions with students might be better.»
- A preprint or a book would be helpful in understanding the various ideas in the lecture notes. As the entropy of the lecture notes is quite high. The course was a bit slow at times and a bit fast. It might be good to go fast in the beginning and then slow down towards the end. This might require students to put more effort in the beginning and hence, it gives the students to get ready whenever the teacher likes to go fast. Early morning lectures would be good, instead of the lazy afternoon classes.»
