- Handin totally unnecessary and useless. More than half of the time went to just installing and getting the toolbox to work, once it got running not much could(or had to) be done with it except plotting the desired curves. The questions themselves were rather trivial and only required a well formulated answer without much consideration or calculations. In other words, a waste of time right when the projects were in their most critical stage. Projects started too late. Deadline of modeling report too early.» (Adequate)

- Good to finally get some practical projects to work on. That"s rare throughout the education.» (Fair)

- The Lego Mindstorm projects»

- More consultation sessions»
- Remove handin. Need more sensors for almost all projects. Fixed hardware and specifications for the projects would be good. Too long/many group presentations, 3.5h of failed ballbots can kill anyone. Would be nice with some followup on the lab, just a lecture with would be good, doesn"t have to be another lab session.»

16. Additional comments

- Not so many interesting CONTROL problems for the projects, most were just algorithmic problems that could be precalculated offline except for the ballbot and the bike. Too many ballbots, it"s too hard and they require too many sensors that other groups could use, you shouldnt do a 2d segway before you"ve even managed to do a 1d. Too much lectures about trivial computer science topics such as basic multi-threading, mutex and fixed/floating point arithmetics. If i recall correctly this was thought in our first year of the bachelor(Z). A quick recap would be enough instead of 4 2h lectures. And then focus more on the advanced topics.»
