- Compendium has lots of mistakes, it is required to have reliable sources to be able to understand the lectures» (Very bad)

- The were plenty of mistakes during the lecture which generates the feeling that the lecture notes are not accurate.» (Very bad)
- Often the contend of the lectures was comming too late considering the assignments.» (Rather bad)

8. What is your opinion of the material selected for the problem solving sessions?

- Good, could be more, or could be possibility to work in own phase and as questions as you go.»
- Calculations carried out in matlab is part of the learning process, but the time consumed overcomes the learning objective. At the end of the assignment (vertical dynamics) it was really complicated to understand the subject and complicated to drive conclusions from the results.»

- Writing a report is time consuming and the feedback wasn’,t given on time. When the students dedicate a lot time to hand in a ‘,good’, report the least you expect is to have the grades asap. » (Very bad)

13. What is your opinion about using Matlab as tool in this course?

- Glad we used matlab. Since I was familiar with it, the assignments kind of enforced learning of coding loops. »
- Very good. Matlab is the most important engineering tool these days. It is important that students practice a lot with this. »
- Always nice to use MATLAB.»
- MATLAB is a powerful tool and its very good since it is being used in industry. »
- assignments are too much related with matlab. one has to know how to use it properly and codes etc. this is sometimes diffucult for students who have never been involved with it.»

- Simulations are small part of engineering, when it takes more time just to ‘,write’, a code and at the end of the assignment you barely understand the basic concepts it does not make sense at all.»
- Matlab is a necessary tool in industry. Knowing the basics of it is important. However the assignments should focus more on the actual physics than programming.»

- Everyone I"ve asked did take some time to answer. Pitty though that simple questions sometimes needed to be answered by disturbing people instead of having reading directions in a coursebook. » (Very good)

- This course needs a new perspective, new blood, new ideas, new slides, it looks like a really ‘,old’, one.» (1 (not at all))
- I fellt a lack of learning the actual phenomena and physics behind everything.» (2)
- Teaching was the biggest drawback. The material, assignments and everything else was A class but the teaching wasnt. So i really to put an effort in understanding the subject on my own.» (3)

- Not the subject it self, but remembering all the formulas. » (Rather bad)

- Too much in too short time. Even if you knew what you were doing in the assignments you didn"t have time to think and understand it on the deep level = the knowledge didn"t stick.» (Rather bad)
- Assignments should be corrected asap, then the student can ask questions when he/she made a mistake otherwise is useless. Really good to have the solution the next day» (Rather bad)

- The ride assignment (assignment no.2) should have a longer deadline. The longitudinal dynamics assignment can be cut down to one week. Deadline of report submissions should me made more lineant.»
- Lectures should be better, errors should be removed out of the lecture notes»
- Compendium should be revised. It contains errors.»

- Textbook! Lecture notes on time Formulas on exam. Rougher a harder exam with formulas than a easier without. »
- I didn’,t feel confident using the compendium at the beginning it has a lot of mistakes.»

26. Additional comments

- I really regret that I did not have enough time to dedicate to this course because of formula student. If i did, this would have been the most fun course ever. The assignments were great, but many of my peers who were also in formula student, just did not have the time to write a report, inspite of having the solved the problem. Please look into extending the deadline of the report submission, especially for assignment 2 as i feel it is just too much to do managing 2 courses and a big project at the same time. Thank you»
