- At first I attended all lectures, but in the end I stopped going there and was instead studying on my own. I found it to be more effective.» (75%)

- The demonstrations were actually a little poor. It could be some more explanation or discussions about whats happaning because everyone can just copy the solutionsmanual if we want to.» (25%)

- Handouts fine Lab preparations worse. Couldn"t prepare enough for the lab and there were extensive preparation tasks» (Rather badly)

- The lab assignment did work well. I was erased from it somehow and was never given any information about it. Luckily, a fellow student was in the same predicament and could offer guidance.» (Rather badly)

- It"s a heavy course but I don"t think anything should be removed from it.» (Adequate)

- There is always room for improvments. So pherhaps a bit more preparation work needs to be done. One thing that I think could improve the course even more is to add even more simulations and other things that visualise the different aspects in this course. » (Good)

- The different lectures that has simulations and simulation results and other stuff that visualises the content of the course in a good pedagogical way. I think it is very good to use different types of tools to explain the material in the course. »
- Laboration (robot arm). But more time is needed, at least two hours so we don"t have to rush through the excercises. This will lead to further understanding of LQ-control and Kalman filtering. The Lab-PM needs to be looked through, there are errors and uncertainties»

- The labinstructions should be much more informative (at lab) and offer more guidence for students how aren"t used to work in Simulink (regarding the task before the lab).»

- The exercises in the book are very boring and hard to follow, since they frequently refer to older problems when defining the new, and they also refer to examples in the book all the time which makes them very fragmented. It can be hard and boring to do problems when you have to do old problems first and verify those results. Also the problems in the book put lots of emphasis on hard calculations that takes forever to do by hand. More emphasis could be put on recommending to use a more advanced calculator and those that are normally allowed in chalmers course. Since you can bring a graph-drawing calculator with matrix handling capabilities to this exam, I think the teacher should recommend people to aquire one of those. It would have saved me tons of effort to use it when I did exercises.»

- The laboratory and the assignment. The assignment should be split to two or three parts. The PM:s should be rewritten and the equipment and the model should be tuned.» (Robot arm)

- Yes! But almost no-one did get the LQG with integral action to work satisfactory. I think the teachers should know more about the lab so they can help and fix so that it works. Now it seemed like a lot of work to end up with something that was worthless.»
- The problem was that most of us took the course in "Applied signal processing" and that course kind of stole a LOT of time from this course which resulted in that we could not study very much on this course and especially not on the lab. There needs to be some sort of lecture with teachers where you can ask questions about the lab because the preparation work to the lab was quite difficult. »
