- Too many guidelines in the exam and many questions that have been explicitly answered in lectures. The exam tested more of "memorising knowledge" than real understanding.» (To some extent)
- A lot of questions on the exams where too trivial. They didn"t test your understanding. True/false questions doesn"t feel serious enough. The underlining task was just confusing. Better if you"re asked to describe something or give arguments for something.» (To some extent)

- The exercise sessions were all about solving tutorials, which I found were very hard to follow (because of Tariks handwriting & speed) and frankly not that useful. It would be good if there was a possibility of asking questions.» (Very poor)
- Even though there were many students in the class, there was time to ask questions in the break. Also during the labs there were not problems getting assistance. » (Very good)

- The labs (1 and 2) were overbooked and there was too many persons in the room. We were 5 persons at our bench, which is not optimal.» (Rather well)

- The other course took all of my time, I didnt have time to do anything but the hand-in assignments in the other course. Also the reason why I couldn"t study for the trial exam properly.» (Too high)

- It"s to basic, one already know almost everything.» (Adequate)

- I would recommend this course to those who are interested in electrical engineering. I was not at all interested in electric machines when I started this course (I chose it because I need 30 hp of electrical engineering at master"s level), but I am definitely much more interested now and I do not regret one bit that I chose it. The course promotes the field of electric drives very well.» (Excellent)

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Increased number of pages allowed for the lab report, and the possibility to dispose the structure more freely. Very unchallanging with these strict guidelines for the report. More computer simulation assignments would be reasonable, to cover more machine types than only DC.»

- topics are many and are taught in a very short period of time. While this may seem like a common strategy, some of the subjects are rather memorized instead of "learnt". This can help us pass a test, but we will forget soon after.»

- I looked though them quickly before some lectures. But the times I did, it helped me to be familiar with the content before the lecture. That"s very helpful, since you don"t have to struggle to take in things you haven"t seen before.» (Small extent)
- I don"t believe students have the time to print and prepare prior to classes. The workload is rather intense, and we are trying to just keep our head above water. That is at least my perception, of myself and listening to other students.» (Small extent)
