- The home exams don"t offer, in my opinion, a clear view of the student"s level of understanding, but rather of his capacity to summarize a couple of references and answer a question. The project even more has been so vaguely handled and supervised that one cannot be certain that we have learned anything throughout it.» (No, not at all)
- the goals refer to methods of usability and such is never seen in the class» (No, not at all)

- Hard to get in contact with the teacher. And using google groups as a portal failed since the teacher never responded to any questions posted there.» (Very badly)
- The information were supposed to be given from the google group, the information came from the site but when someone tried to ask questions they were never given any answer.» (Very badly)
- The teacher has chosen to use a Google group for the class communication. The only way she has been involved in that is posting a message and not checking whether students would ask something back or not. It could be that she has never used this medium before (we understood that in our first class), but then why not use something else with which she is familiar? Emails we have sent would be answered days later therefore delaying us in our work.» (Very badly)
- The Google Group was a nice idea, but did not work that well. Teacher did not respond to questions there.» (Rather badly)
- The google-group worked very good. My only complaint would be that it took sometimes weeks to get answers for questions. » (Rather well)

11. What is your general impression of the course?

11 svarande

Poor»2 18%
Fair»2 18%
Adequate»2 18%
Good»4 36%
Excellent»1 9%

Genomsnitt: 3

- Unclear goals, very repetitive from what we already knew about the subjects. The structure of the whole course was very bad. To force students to read about 100 pages of articles and paper under a period of 2-3 hours is just horrible and i dont think that any students in this course got anything out of doing that.» (Poor)
- too much work and not much learning» (Poor)
- You learn a lot from this course. Not that much from the lectures, but the labs and the project forces you to work your ass off. It felt like it was mostly up to me to find and learn things.» (Adequate)
- the course was good, the only problems with it was the communication with the teacher and the fact that the project work was to big (and not even affecting the grades, more then pass or fail) along with all the other parts that we were supposed to do.» (Good)
- Heavy workload. Learned very much during the project. Could have skipped one or two home exam questions.» (Good)

12. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- the idea of the project work should still be there. »
- The project»
- The work at the company.»
- The project and the home exams»
- Company project»
- introduction to emotional design, invited lectures»
- Project work and guest lectures. Spreading out the home exam questions throughout the study period was a good idea, I think - just make sure to set the deadlines for when we don"t have a thousand other things to do...»

13. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- More scheduled time for the course project, as it was hard to find time to meet with the companies with a full course schedule.»
- The whole labsessions including reading tons of papers is just a waste of time. Restructure it into being one article that one group presents each lab would be better.»
- The project work, maybe you can have some documents describing development processes and hand them out so the students got an already finished development process to try and evaluate.»
- The workload»
- More time to the project and less lectures»
- Less reports, more teaching.»
- the evaluation method of the home exams is not clear and it shouldn"t be based on the questions done by the students.»
- Lectures must be better prepared. The labs need to be restructured - the one lab (experience design) where there was actual discussion was the best one. The lab time should be dedicated to discussion, not reading, reading can be done before the lab.»

14. Additional comments

- As a whole the teacher was very unclear in her feedback, and it was nearly impossible to understand some of the tasks that was handed out.»
- Some groups had problems finding a company to work for. It may be a good idea to help the groups find a company some how. »
- The workload was way too high for a 7.5 hp course 3 home exams, question presentation and 15 pages of company report is not reasonable.»
