- The assignment was only time consuming and I did not learn anything new, if anything it confused me. The part with filling in the excel-sheet should be removed completely.» (Small extent)
- The assigment seems to be a kind of time wasting because for me there was no learning effect but it took a lot of time to do all exel formulars. I"ts interesting to see how this is calculated, but it shouldn"t be a exel learning assignment.» (Small extent)
- I dont consider filling out an excel form very awarding. The study visit itself was very good, but the following assignment wasnt.» (Some extent)

- Too much to do on resistance part, but not very much to do on propulsion part. Very unbalanced since we were supposed to spend the same amount of time on both parts in class.» (High)
- Mostly because of the SSPA/Shipflow lab so late in the course. It would have been better to hand out the assignments in the beginning of the course to spread the workload better over the course length. » (Too high)

- It feels like you just got a general idea of what the resistance part was about. The resistance literature was poor with not very good explanations in the text and the amount of information in it was too much, if we were to do the propulsion part too. It´,s too much to have 87 theory questions on the resistance part, that you don´,t even know the answers to. Also very strange that there is only 16 questions for the propulsion part but still, you get the same amount of points on the exam on both parts. This means that it´,s better to study hard on the propulsion part since there are less questions to know.» (Fair)
- Interesting and very good for understanding the geometry of a ship. The lectures of resistance especially.» (Good)

22. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- I liked the major structure of the course. It was good to save the visits to the last week and not present any new material during that week. »
- The study visits, exept Berg. »
- The trip to Berg Propulsion was excellent. The propulsion lecture notes were excellent.»
- The visits»
- Royce-Rolls trip & SSPA assignment»
- The use of theory questions.»

23. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- Hand out assignments early in the course to make it possible to start on the assignments before the visits.»
- I think that the whole idéa of having pre-defined exam questions is unbenefitial for the students from an learning point of view. These questions makes us only focus on learning the answers to the questions taking the focus from the whole picture.»
- Possibly have the tours earlier and have more lectures or tutorials closer to the exam.»
- The literature, theory questions, and disposal of time on each part.»
- Split the course in two, one for resistance and one for propulsion. It felt like the proportion between the two were a little off, propulsion should get maybe 2-3 more lectures and tutorials»
- Solutions to all of the tutorials. »
- There should be added solutions for the home exercises»

24. Additional comments

- Both resistance and propulsion are pretty extensive areas. Perhaps split the course into two courses?»
- I would have liked more information on hull design and less emphasis on CFD. It seemed that there was a lot of CFD examples, but not a lot of theory on the design side as to why those situations were happening or how it could be improved.»
