- This course it is up to you and your group to decide how much time to spend on the project. You can really spend a lot of time on it. The same goes for the literature. At the same time very much to read with both course book and papers. However good with quizz to help motivate us to read. Very good you moved 2nd quiz to exam. » (?)
- too much to read» (A typical high effort course)
- The group work showed to take too much time than if we were less people in the group, and with people that actually know English and has studies "managament" before. Some in the group had a very low level of English, results in difficulties in communication. Why not have a English test before the course or before being accepted to MEI? » (I almost never put this much effort into a course)
- The project took huge amount of time. It got way bigger compared to the other course (TCIT), even though the correspond to equal amount of hp. » (I almost never put this much effort into a course)

Goals and goal fulfilment

The course syllabus states the course goals in terms of learning outcomes, i.e., knowledge, skills and attitudes to be acquired by the student during the course.

62 svarande

I have not seen/read the goals»9 14%
The goals are difficult to understand»1 1%
The goals give some guidance, but could be clearer»28 45%
The goals clearly describe what I am supposed to learn»24 38%

Genomsnitt: 3.08

- only read the goals in the beginning of the course. can be more concise. » (The goals give some guidance, but could be clearer)
- I don"t know but for me, it"s quite hard to find the linkage between the lectures and the goals in some cases. Sometimes I felt that lectures are talking about something completely different from course goals.» (The goals give some guidance, but could be clearer)
- The whole process of creating new business and the topics around are all well explained.» (The goals clearly describe what I am supposed to learn)

5. Are the goals reasonable considering your background and the number of credits?

Answer this this question and the succeeding one, only if you do know the course goals.

55 svarande

No, the goals are set too low»0 0%
Yes, the goals seem reasonable»52 94%
No, the goals are set too high»3 5%

Genomsnitt: 2.05

- Although, it is tough to work with people with less prior knowledge, in the project. Maybe the goals are too high for some people.» (Yes, the goals seem reasonable)
- The goals might be reasonable on paper, but considering that we are supposed to have a parallel course as well, the execution of the goals were too time consuming. » (No, the goals are set too high)

6. Did the examination assess whether you have reached the goals?

56 svarande

No, not at all»7 12%
To some extent»23 41%
Yes, definitely»9 16%
I don"t know/have not been examined yet»17 30%

Genomsnitt: 2.64

- I thought the exam didn"t touch upon what was the core of the class» (No, not at all)
- didn"t think the examination mirrored the course literature» (No, not at all)
- The examination was a bit to focused on the BM, 2/3 of credits. The time was to limited on the last question (BM) nad could be made more specific, a more elaborated examination was made in the project... » (To some extent)
- I there are to muck points on a question that demands much creativity. » (To some extent)
- One of the questions were more about how creative you can be under stress. » (To some extent)
- No since the time available to answer both the short questions and the big BM question was too short. Didn"t have time to formulate answer on the big one even If I am well aware of diffrent parts of BM and diffrent types of BM. That was also what I heard after the exam from many other classmates. » (To some extent)
- The short exams (quiz) was a good method for encouraging students to read the book. The final exam was a good challenge. However, the time of the exam was extremely short for that number of questions, specially the case study. » (To some extent)
- Considering the goals of the course, I can not read out that I am supposed to have gained entrepreneurial thinking and creativity. So, I really can´,t see how it should be motivated that 50% of the written exam is about creativity i.e. construct a venture business model, when creativity is not part of the material covered in the course.» (To some extent)
- I really don"t feel that the examen assess if I reached the goals. It seems to assess whether I read or not and whether I memorize them or not.» (To some extent)
- last question (the massive one) could have been more nice regarding the content of the course» (To some extent)
- Gamla tentan som ligger uppe är för detaljerad. Oviktigt att kunna rabbla utantill-listor vad som är bra. Det är bättre att kolla ifall man har förstått och göra fler analytiska frågor. » (I don"t know/have not been examined yet)
- Now it"s before the exam. But from the exam four years ago, it will be fine.» (I don"t know/have not been examined yet)

- Some students in my group did not have the intention of making a good report or to contribute in the work. The project

The project, including the report and the presentation, was an important part of the course - both in terms of learning and grades. Below are a number of questions aimed at evaluating this part.

15. Was the task to be performed in the project clearly communicated?

This question tries to measure if you understood what you were supposed to do for the project early in the course. Fill in the alternative that most resembles your answer.

62 svarande

I never understood the task»1 1%
I understood the task to late»10 16%

Det är så kass att jag överväger att kontakta studentombudsmannen om betygen kommer ut som ett lotteri! Gör om Gör rätt! » (I never understood the task)
- For some reason the task was unclear and split between the projects. Also, the instructons given to groups differed ALOT which seems very odd. » (I understood the task to late)
- Felt like all group got different information regarding of what should be done.» (I understood the task to late)
- In the beginning we had an idea, that at last went changing over time and finally we had a few days to do the right task. This is my perspective of what happened.» (I understood the task to late)
- perhaps not prepared enough to start with» (I understood the task to late)
- Very shifting demands / tasks recieved from supervisor.» (I understood the task to late)
- It could be MUCH clearer. We tried to use Blue Ocean at first, but it did not suit our task that we had from the company. Therefore, when we thought we were almost finished we had to change many things and so on. Every new supervision gave a new view of what should be done and this created very much work. (However, the project became much better after each supervision, but it could be stated clearer from the beginning what should be done.) » (I understood early, but had to ask several questions)
- But of course you can now see obvious things that you could have improved..» (I understood early, but had to ask several questions)
- Konstigt att alla skulle göra olika saker i projekten. Mycket olika fokus och olika nivåer om vad som var tillåtet eller inte.» (I understood early, but had to ask several questions)
- Some of the group seemed not to understand though which was a problem» (I understood early, but had to ask several questions)
- Took time to develop the ideas, especially because the group was shattered. Some did definitely not understand during the whole period. One problem, minor, to balance between what the company and supervisors wanted.» (I understood early, but had to ask several questions)
- At first I understood the task at hand, but since it kept changing I don"t think I understood until we got a "go" in read week 6.» (I understood early, but had to ask several questions)
- my conseption changed after several supervision meetings. eventually, the task differed from the general guidlines on the web.» (I understood early, but had to ask several questions)
- Reading the course PM we were supposed to do something else than the company wanted us to do.» (I understood early, but had to ask several questions)
- The task that we preformed was not really what was stated in the description, instead did we create it together with our supervisor and then it became clear. » (I understood early, but had to ask several questions)
- Think we got so much info about their BM feelt that we more rewrote it. That basic things could be pushed on to do more quickly and the supervisor could pushed more on that we should just don"t come up with new ideas but really emphsixe to get practical next step guide onhow to do or try to do something. Not just stating try to identify lead customer, but help and push to investigate who?» (I understood early, but had to ask several questions)
- It felt like the company brought us new information and (changed) request during the project» (I understood early, but had to ask several questions)
- The project pm is clear. But we still have to specify our focus during the supervision meeting.» (I understood clearly from just reading the project pm)
- I understood what was stated in the PM, but since my supervisor, had other plans for the structure than the stated in the PM, my group had to ask several clarification questions.» (I understood clearly from just reading the project pm)

- Interesting project but it has been too much effort that seems like it hasn"t given something in return» (Fair)
- For our case, Id prefer doing an analysis for Icomera on how to penetrate the market in the US, using other tools than we did. (Or another case, where the comparative analysis actually would have given something) » (Fair)
- Think so much was recently changed since the BIP this spring and the new mgmt had also already picked the low hanging fruit. Feelt that we were consultants hired to look at how qbtech could decelop quality reputation instead of considering their overall BM and the diffrent aspect of it» (Fair)
- with respect to lack of time found to spend on studying literatures.» (Fair)
- I would have wished to work with people that I know are competent and easier to discuss and work with. I thought much of the group work was "blocked" since people (3 out of 6) didn"t want to discuss and work through the task together. They preferred a more divided work load. » (Adequate)
- Maybe better to have a fictional case if what the company wants is a customer survey. I would have learned more from a ficitonal case where the major part would be analysis.» (Adequate)
- The parts during the project when we were creative were good but I lot of the report writing is about doing the report. My guess is that it should give me more to asses more companies and present them in PowerPoint for example.» (Adequate)
- Well, when regarding the total workload during this period it felt like the project took too much of the time, especially when regarding that we had 3 books in this course, were supposed to write a scientific article in the other course etc. » (Adequate)

- The information in the course is good, but the workload is too big when reading another course at the same time. For a case like this, it is important that you can choose your members, since it takes too much time to explain everything and correct the case from incomprehensive English. The information in the course is good, the structure is not. Communicate with the other course and make sure that you don"t put deadlines at the same times, has been very stressful. » (Fair)
- Interesting material, but the course administration has to make a choice. Either this is a theoretical OR an applied course. It is not realistic to have mid-terms, 3-4 books, articles, final exam and a project (at the size of a bachelor thesis) in a 8 week course (in parallel with another course)» (Fair)
- I was really exited when I started this course, and now when everything is finished I feel like I really didn"t catch or got much from the course. To many expectations maybe.» (Fair)

- Blue Ocean Strategy & Vecho»
- Sören!»
- Lectures with real entrepreneurs, explaining real cases.»
- Project»

24. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- More exercises about developing different business models to a given "problem", like the GPS exercise. I think this is important since it is a quite big part of the exam.»
- Some of the articles felt inadequate»
- remove 2nd quiz.»
- The book technology ventures has some good parts, but mostly consist of "dot-lists" and takes up many pages to describe the self-evident.. »
- Less pressure on the project or less pressure on the exam/lectures»
- Smaller groups, higher demand of prerequisites of the students, english need to be better and some strategic knowledge should each student have»
- The courses (CNB & TCIT) must plan more together to avoid deadlines at the same time. Many conflicts because people didn"t work in advance, and skipped internal deadlines because they wanted to work with the other course. Let people choose their own group.»
- Make it possible to print out the slides before the lecture, enhances the possibility to listen and learn at the lecture. Make it possible to chose group.»
- The reading task about the book "Start Up". The time is limited if the whole group has to finish it.»
- Noone can read that much literature.»
- Workload of the project. The relation to TCIT was not even close to 50-50, which made that course suffer. »
- THE PROJECT! Make it just pass/fail. And do it this year as well!»
- Make sure the students in the course can handle the English language »
- The written exam should be smaller since it only is 50 % of the course.»
- The exam, it"s too big. Dorf and Byers should be changed.»
- Less focus on BM on exam.»
- There should be equal requirements for all of the project groups.»
- the exam, it was way too comprehensive. it felt strange that 75% of the course is based on business models, when there are so much other interesting things in the course. furthermore, the BM Question was too much, it would have sufficed to indentify opportunities and pick the most interesting and elaborate on that instead of constructing three different BM. Reduce the size of the exam and ask more on the relation how the different parts are related to each other instead of seperatly. »
- no comments»
- The quizes. Why not skip the book? Take more articles instead, it is more interesting to read good articles than a rather boring and bad written book.»
- More clear projects instructions and more similar task description to groups. »
- Both the reading materials and the project was very time consuming. One of them can be lightened to some extent.»
- That the projects are so different or that the supervisors are so different. Makes you a bit unsure of what is really the "right" thing to do.»
- Fix compendium with articles sorted after theme and studyweak + Please do provide them as pdf as well since they are searchable for keywords»
- I think there was to much reading in the course, although the content was very intersting I think that the volume was on the edge of being too much, so I think this can be shortened.»
- - reduce the number of questions in the final exam or substitute two short exams in place of the quizes and the final exam. - reduce the workload of the project by offering consistent supervision.»
- Renew some of the articles»
- More practical learning (as for example when we hade to come up with business idea)»
- the amount of literature and the exam. It almost felt like I could have gone to the exam without reading ANY of the literature and still get a high grade. I would have liked more, reflect, explain why, argue questions in order to show my skills. The only question to do that was the last one... and that question it felt more that you needed creativity rather than analytical skills»
- clearer guidance in the project»
- The quizzes should be removed or at least allocate some grading.»
- Quiz of D&B»
- 1.- The project 2.- The quizzes 3.- The book (don"t get rid of it but re-think the chapters) 4.- some guest lecturers 5.- some lectures perceived as a bit poor »
- Very clearly defined subtasks for the projects. EITHER we choose the content ourself OR it is CLEARLY communicated to us. Nothing in between works.»
- The scope of the project, and the mix in backgrounds of team members.»

- A nice course, perfect in the MEI-programme.»
- Altogether, the course has caused a lot of personal stress (too much in my opinion) because of problems within the group and deadlines at similar dates as the other course. Therefore, I give it an average grade even though I like the course material (the subject is very interesting) and the lecturer. »
- Thanks Soren, it"s so nice to meet you in this course. Good course!»
- Good guest lectures! Intresting course! »
- The supervisors need to be more aligned with each other in order to give the same feedback to all the groups. »
- The written exam was very long and it takes a lot of time, in particular the last assignment about the business model.»

- Sören is a really an experienced and highly knowledgeable professor! Thanks for everything! »
- More examples from your own (Sören"s) experiences should be interesting.»
- - Post the slides before the class. It makes it easier to follow your lecture and that our notes are more helpful when we can pinpoint the important things. - Communicate with the class if you are going to run over the break. Please give some reasons why you skip the breaks if you do so that WE UNDERSTAND THE REASON. - We are here to learn and when you are skipping breaks your are removing our reflection time. It becomes "korvstoppning" we are FULL!!!!»
- It was a very interesting course I must say»
- Please, have a workshop or something where you coordinate the supervisors. Each and every project group had different directions for what their supervisors wanted them to do. How could there be a reasonable and fair grading when every group has a different basis of evaluation? Furthermore, I can´,t see how you could motivate having 50% of an individuals grade based on a project which more or less is the result of a lottery regarding the assignment of group members, company, and supervisor.»
- I would have love to learn much more from this course, I really loved the goals when I read them. But now I feel like I didn"t went to any lecture, and actually I have a 95% attendance. what happen??? .. Is something wrong in the linkage between the goals, the lectures, the book??, maybe its too much content for 7 weeks??, why don"t you focus on each goal at time, "one goal=one week" (or two, maybe) I would restructure the whole course. I really learnt much more from the other courses I had this termin.»
- It was a good course, I get some disappointment with the project work however it was a good way of learning.»
