- Better to use "real" questions than multiple choise. » (To some extent)
- The dugga is not so much about understanding as learning by heart.» (To some extent)
- I feel that I did not perform my best at the examination, but that is my on misstake as I had another examination the following day.» (To some extent)
- Excellent, the fact of learning step by step the lectures is excellent (At the first sight, it did seem really hard, but after we realized that it was not insurmountable)» (Yes, definitely)
» (Yes, definitely)
- It is a good thing to have several duggas as it helps us to learn from our mistakes. But then also, the last part (timber) is the part that I know a bit less.» (Yes, definitely)
- The duggas and final exam were sufficient. » (Yes, definitely)

21. How much of your available time for studies in this study period did you spend on this course?

- The assignments are a good way to practise before the duggas.» (Adequate)
- Too much with lectures, assignments, duggas, project work, laborations, studytrips and other presentations (timber, fundamental...). It was to much, you didnt have time to attend at all things and definetly no time for reading coarse literature and study for the duggas. You need to have less compulsory things. And even if its not compulsory or affect your grade it creates a lot of stress to have all this things. Cooperate with the other coarse structural systems. Make the material coarse more involved in the structural systems.» (Too high)
- It was to much to do some weeks which made it hard to have time to do assignments, projects, seminars, lab reports and attending lectures.» (Too high)

Summarizing questions

23. What is your general impression of the course?

Poor»0 0%

- Very much repetition from the course Byggnadsmaterial but I guess that"s necessary when not all have the same background» (Fair)
- Its a really good coarse. Its interesting and you really feel that its important.» (Good)
- In general it was good. I did find that the focus was a little too much on concrete.» (Good)

24. What is the remaining value of the course in the future

25. What should definitely be preserved to next year?

- The exam»
- Everything except the lecture about frost damage»
- The study trips»
- Laborations, project work and the studytrips. Even if the study trips gives rather poor knowledge its good to come out in the real world and the most important thing is that its creating an interest to learn more about the properties that effect the materials, you feel that you have to learn about the material properties to be able of making a good structure and make it durable.»
- the labs where interesting»
- The project, labs and guest lectures should be preserved. The labs are especially are a great way to understand material properties and to visualize fundamental concepts.»
- Labs, study trips, group work.»
- Laborations is fun (can be changed a bit though) Assigmnet with chloride ingression»
- The study trips»
- Good project work »

26. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- The project work»
- frost damage»
- Less concrete and more other materials»
- You need to have less things that you want the students to do. You cant have 2 assignments, 2 duggas, lectures, laborations, project work and other presentations (timber, fundamentals....). It creates a lot of stress for the students and we are not able to make a good work even if we study 24/7. all the things are really good for your understanding but since you do not have the time to really think about what you are doing or sometimes dont have time to go on the lectures because of all you need to do, then something is wrong. You should be able to sleep in the nights and have time to reflect on what you are doing. For this study period a lot of students feelt bad because of all the stress and in my case i stydied all days long and still didnt have time to reflect on what im doing or study for duggas etc but i really think that its a good and important coarse!»
- workload, take away the group discussions»
- The labs and assignments should have bonus points associated with them. They require quite some time to complete. If high quality work is expected then they should be worth points.»
- More labs and visual experiences. Perhaps a tour around chalmers to see examples of good and bad building material and other interesting fenomena.»
- All small exercises took to long time and the focus easily shifted from the group work. »
- no final exam or less assignment during the course»
- Get the handouts of the construction materials first part (part presented by the students in group).»
- To much to do with all assignments, project and laborations etc. »
- a little less emphasis on concrete -at times the course became difficult to follow because of having multiple lecturers. It is hard to focus at times with differences and style and emphasis.»

27. Additional comments

- Congratulation for the different professors and lecturers. I keep in mind a good opinion about Swedish teaching»
- There were some students sitting talking to each other on the exam (they spoke on a language I do not understand) but I think they helped each other.»
- The discription of the project work could be improved, just to know what are expected of you as a student.»
