- I am attending four courses in the same time and some time the lecture are in same time so I have to choose between them which is not good please to fix this problem.» (75%)

- You really need to attend the course in order to get the information, during the lesson usually Professor V.S. gave contextual philosophical and physical information which allows you to broad the ideas. » (100%)

- I think the course must be evaluated by both written and oral way. Written exam does not assess your knowledge, whereas the combination of both could give a better criterion to evaluate the quality of the new acquired knowledge. I addition the course would be a starting point for a good school in Theoretical Physics, neither Chalmers nor GU have a course in Many-body Physics, Magnetism and Mesoscopic Physics and their application in Nanotechnology. » (No, not at all)

- Its hard to follow all new concepts during the lectures, after reading through the notes was that I could get a clearer picture.» (Some extent)

- The best references were Professor Jari Kinaret lecture notes and Professor Vitaly Shumeiko notes, but there are other good references not mentioned like Schwabl Statistical Mechanics book, it is a good book» (Some extent)

- It is an excellent course, I think more than this kind of courses must be given at Chalmers: Mesoscopic Physics, Many-Body physics, Advanced Condensed Matter Physics, obviously it depends on the focus of each program, but at least in Theoretical Condensed Matter and Nanoscience and Technology these courses will improve the academic level» (Excellent)

- Lectures Notes The quality of the Recitation, I think here is the precise moment to give a strong congratulation to Jens Michelsen, he really did an excellent job in the recitation, he was very clear, respectful, helpful and responsible for the charge of the recitation, his lectures were excellent, he was very kind to ask question, open-minded and extremely educated person, I really enjoy to work with this kind of scientific and human crew. »

15. What should definitely be changed to next year?

- I think, next year the student should choose only statistical physics for the fourth quarter not more. »

- I recommond to reduce the material or increase the time of the course (from Febraury to June)»
- The course should not be compulsory for MPNAN. The lecture notes should not be changed during the period, they should cover what is meant to be covered since the beginning.»
- Change the home problems from being only mathematical exercise.»
- decrease home problems number in each set.»
- Maybe a little more guidelines in the recitation on how to attack the home problems (what can be approximated, what is considered known etc).»
- I think, the lectures notes must include a section in recent applications of the concepts (Quantum qbits and Two-Level systems could be a nice example, also it could be a "good commercial" to inform students about the research at the Department)»

- I recommond the decraesing of the number of lectures per week to two instead of three.»

- though quite abstract and hard to understand at times, i really enjoyed the course. I have to say i had no time to look at any reference book suggested, which is also hard to get in the library, so I tried to take good notes in class and study on the lecture notes. Maybe it"s possible to copy some material and distribute it (aside from that on BE).»
